Summary: So basically Isaac is still pretty new to the city, this is mostly an adventure in finding where places are and maybe shopping for those City essentials. He could even stop for coffee!

He finally woke up today comfortable with the fact that he was living in the City, and that meant he had things to do. First and foremost getting clothes, he'd grabbed an outfit out of his wardrobe that must've belonged to him the last time he was here and was now fully prepared to take his first true excursion into the city.

Mostly he just wanted to see what was out there because it was difficult living somewhere without knowing what you could do with yourself at the end of the day. Then there was also the fact that he needed to start socializing. He let Stiles and Derek know he was heading out for a few hours and armed with his Network Device and the money he had left in a drawer he just started walking.

Feel free to stop him in the streets, in a store or even go for coffee because it was about time he started interacting outside of his Pack like that girl Clary had told him to.

Clary can kick demon butt when she really wants to. She's good at it. What's she's not good at is partying all night and then dealing with the hangover. Having used a rune to get rid of her headache, she'd stumbled free of her apartment searching for coffee. And sugar. So much sugar.

So it's at the coffee store that she literally bumps into him, her shoulder connecting with his ... arm. She's short, sorry.

"Ah, oops." And then getting a look at him, "Isaac?"

"Hey, wait up!"

Stiles literally has to fling himself from the cabin and jog after Isaac. He should really be using his time to ambush Derek with a surprise makeout session but with everything so topsy-turvy recently he figures maybe that isn't the best plan. Besides, he needs stuff from town.

"I'm walking with."

Isaac hasn't changed. He could kind of use some snarky banter to get him through the day.

He turns quickly when he feels the bump at his arm. Faint recognition covering his features. Funny that they'd meet in the coffee shop considering that was her original suggestion.

"Hey, Clary right? It's uh, nice to meet you outside of the Network."

Isaac does not slow down because what other ways did he have to torment Stiles than making him run? He does have a faint smile on his lips though when he starts talking.

"So I can't even be trusted to go shopping without getting myself into trouble?" Because between Scott monitoring where he lived, being dragged to parties and now this it was beginning to look like it.

"Nice even with my failing ability to walk?"

But she's grinning because she did mean to meet him and fate is a funny thing, "You were at Ginny's party yesterday, weren't you? I meant to say hi but I lost track of time."

What is it with you werewolves and the running?

"Hey, I'm not monitoring you. I just need to go into the City and you're going into the City so I figured we could both go into the City."

Not even running bro, you must have short legs. "That's cool... I mean I'll be here a while so you can abandon me whenever you want. I uh, have to get pretty much everything? Stuff like clothes..." Because Isaac was running low on all of the essential clothing things, such as scarves.

Oh, well if he needs scarves. Also wow, word choice Isaac. Stiles thinks about just how abandoned you actually are and actually feels guilty.

"There are some good stores. The coffee shops are awesome too. And oh, the candy place, definitely worth a try."

Yes, number one ability Isaac has, giving people horrible guilt problems. "Candy place? So I guess that's where you spend all of your money." And would totally explain why Stiles is like a ferret bouncing about the place all the time.

"Shut up."

But he's almost smiling so that's a plus, "It's cool. Some of the stuff isn't even from our world so it's like a surprise each time I go in."

He grins at the jibe. "Really? What kind of stuff?" He keeps walking. "Oh and we need to stop at the Youth Center, so I can pick up this allowance."

"Sure, I used to live there so I can show you the way."

Tramping through the woods, "I usually drive but going into the Underground to get gas sucks."

"Cool. You're useful after all." Genuine snarkwolf Isaac Lahey. "You have your jeep? That's good to know."

"Bite me."

A pause, "Actually don't, you'd take that as an invitation."

He rolls his eyes. "You're not bite worthy, you'd make a really bad Werewolf."

"That's not what Derek thinks."

Whoops, gut reaction. He just keeps stomping, crunching sticks beneath his feet. "I was one. For a weekend. I was awesome."

"Wait, what? Derek thinks you should have the bite?" Because no, Isaac was Derek's only remaining werewolf and he was not having Stiles as a member of his pack for real. Totally ignores the part about the curse.

"Well, not anymore."

He can't help thinking he did something wrong. It's not like he wanted the bite, he kept saying no. But Scott showed up and suddenly Derek didn't want him a part of it.

"But he did, because he recognises my superior awesome qualities."

He gives Stiles a very confused look. "I uh, I don't think you should get it, seriously." Because being a werewolf comes with both perks and bad things.

"I said no."

The thing is, werewolf him had it so held together. But he was from a world where Stiles was the one Peter bit, where Stiles had listened to Derek from day one. If he changed now it would only make things so much worse.

"So how are you finding the City?"

"Yeah I was there." And it was terribly awkward because of Scott giving him reconnaissance missions or whatever they were. "It was fun?" He didn't exactly mean to word it as a question but hey.

He doesn't sound like he had fun so she pulls a face, "Did you get hit with the hangover too?"

"Okay..." He's glad for the change of topic because that's a weird scenario to think about. He keeps walking again, thankful that his agility meant he wasn't tripping all over the place.

"Its uh, interesting. I mean Scott wants me to get a job but I sorta just want to explore and get to know people?"

"No I uh..." He suddenly realizes he's started a sentence he can't finish properly. "I can't drink, I always get sick so I don't try it." He was so glad that other people couldn't hear his heartbeat.

"Psh, you don't need a job. Derek'll probably run you ragged through the forest though. He did that last time."

Exiting the forest and taking the road to the City, "I mean I had one for a couple of weeks but it didn't make any difference."
