Summary: So basically Isaac is still pretty new to the city, this is mostly an adventure in finding where places are and maybe shopping for those City essentials. He could even stop for coffee!

He finally woke up today comfortable with the fact that he was living in the City, and that meant he had things to do. First and foremost getting clothes, he'd grabbed an outfit out of his wardrobe that must've belonged to him the last time he was here and was now fully prepared to take his first true excursion into the city.

Mostly he just wanted to see what was out there because it was difficult living somewhere without knowing what you could do with yourself at the end of the day. Then there was also the fact that he needed to start socializing. He let Stiles and Derek know he was heading out for a few hours and armed with his Network Device and the money he had left in a drawer he just started walking.

Feel free to stop him in the streets, in a store or even go for coffee because it was about time he started interacting outside of his Pack like that girl Clary had told him to.

"Yeah I was there." And it was terribly awkward because of Scott giving him reconnaissance missions or whatever they were. "It was fun?" He didn't exactly mean to word it as a question but hey.

He doesn't sound like he had fun so she pulls a face, "Did you get hit with the hangover too?"

"No I uh..." He suddenly realizes he's started a sentence he can't finish properly. "I can't drink, I always get sick so I don't try it." He was so glad that other people couldn't hear his heartbeat.

"Oh, sorry."

They shuffle forward in their line and she hums, "I'm not really used to alcohol. I only had a couple of glasses and it made me feel giddy."

"Yeah that's the kind of thing I want to avoid..." Because being giddy didn't exactly suit Isaac. He walks forward in the line. "I like coffee better."

"Coffee is a godsend, anyone who says otherwise is just wrong."

"I'd agree with you about that..." Because without coffee he might just have daily arguments with everyone in his pack.

"Are you as addicted as I am? Because if we ever run out I might have to fight you."

He chuckles slightly, deliberately casting an eye over the short unassuming girl. "I'd win."

"You'd think that."

She smiles and it's amused but there's still a little bit of surety in there too. "I'd surprise you though."

"I'm getting the impression that everyone has their ways of surprising other people around here." He still smiles though.

"Well, it wouldn't be fun if that weren't the case."

She orders her coffee and a pastry and leans against the counter.

He orders black coffee, grabbing a couple packets of brown sugar before joining her at the counter. "I guess? Sometimes surprises aren't good things though..."

"His one's on me."

Pointing at him with a wooden stirrer, "Don't argue, I did say I'd buy you coffee. And you don't like surprises?"

"Uh, thanks?" Because that was nice of her. "I mean I don't like the big surprises, the shocking rather than surprising kind."

"Yeah, I don't think anyone likes to be shocked."

"You never know. Some people kinda like the drama." He scratches the back of his head.

"Do you know a lot of people who do?"

"I'm pretty sure my friends really don't like the drama." Because their lives were crazy, and no-one really enjoyed it.

She picks up her coffee and smiles.

"No, my friends don't either. And yet it finds us."

"I'm pretty sure I've seen a lot more drama in the last couple weeks being here." Because the City should be renamed drama city, things happened too often.

She laughs.

"Yeah, it tends to be like that. Wait until it throws you at the deep end."

"Its the part of this place I'm really not happy about." Because Isaac never wanted to be cursed.

"Some of it's not so bad. I mean you can get tame curses. Once I spent twenty-four hours smelling of peaches and nothing else."

He laughs. "That's... interesting. I mean, it doesn't really sound like a curse."
