Summary: So basically Isaac is still pretty new to the city, this is mostly an adventure in finding where places are and maybe shopping for those City essentials. He could even stop for coffee!

He finally woke up today comfortable with the fact that he was living in the City, and that meant he had things to do. First and foremost getting clothes, he'd grabbed an outfit out of his wardrobe that must've belonged to him the last time he was here and was now fully prepared to take his first true excursion into the city.

Mostly he just wanted to see what was out there because it was difficult living somewhere without knowing what you could do with yourself at the end of the day. Then there was also the fact that he needed to start socializing. He let Stiles and Derek know he was heading out for a few hours and armed with his Network Device and the money he had left in a drawer he just started walking.

Feel free to stop him in the streets, in a store or even go for coffee because it was about time he started interacting outside of his Pack like that girl Clary had told him to.

While out killing time, Jace spots the fresh face easily amongst the familiar crowds, and at first he doesn't make a move to go over and introduce himself, but then he decides to throw caution to the wind and drops down from the wall he's been perching on for the last half hour.

He lands about a metre in front of him with an impressive amount of grace and a confident air about him, not hesitating to take a step closer. "You're new." It's a statement, not a question, and he's definitely got the look of a fairly new arrival.

Isaac can't help but be shocked by the boy's arrival, especially considering he just landed in front of him. He rocks back onto his foot, eyes glowing slightly in a manner he hoped wasn't notice-able, it was just the first time he'd been startled in this fashion since arriving. He growls slightly, breathing heavily and unable to shake the feeling that he was under attack.

On hindsight, Jace realises that jumping out at people as a way of introducing himself probably isn't the best way to go about it, but what's done is done.

He passes looking smug for managing to startle him, though, and instead raises a questioning eyebrow at the growl, and if he didn't know better he might thing the boy's eyes changed colour, but decides it's probably nothing more than the way the sun hits them.

"I had that coming." It's not exactly an apology, but it's close enough, right? "Unless you're a demon I've failed to come across before now, which you're not, I think you're safe to calm down."

Isaac shakes himself out of it, thankful that for once he can. Usually when his fight or flight mechanism takes over fight is usually the go to reaction.

"You shouldn't jump in front of people still getting used to their surroundings, you know that, right?"

"I probably do on some level." He still doesn't sound that sorry about it, though, and he'll probably do it again. "It's not as if you had a sign pinned to you declaring that you shouldn't be startled."

And he definitely seems to have the penitential in him to take care of himself.

Isaac just glares because this guy is definitely rubbing him up the wrong way, he reminded him slightly of Jackson. "Thought it was just common sense not to land from, wherever you were, while people are walking."

There's a smirk playing around his lips, but he holds up his hands in surrender. "Fine, I apologise for not using the appropriate social niceties. Happy?" He sort of means it. "You looked lost, so I thought I'd offer company."

"Not so much lost as aimlessly walking to see what there is around..." Because he was that kind of person, people could tell him all sorts about the city but he wanted to see it first hand.

"Isn't that the same thing?" He is pretty much the same in that respect, though, and because of it he knows he probably doesn't want some cocky idiot tagging along. "If you don't want the personal tour guide, all you have to do is say." But he's kind of hoping he does; he won't admit it, but he's lacking for friends and the new arrivals are as good a place to start as any. He'll even consider working on the approach. Maybe.

"No, if I was lost I'd have somewhere to be. As far as I know I'm exactly where I want right now." Because Isaac was happy to be a smart ass in certain situation. Although it was nice talking to someone outside of his usual circle of friends, his social life had been particularly lacking. "You can stick around."

Where some people might be offended, Jace merely grins, as if he's enjoying the reaction he's getting, or at least that he's used to similar conversations.

"I think I'll stick around in that case." It's not as if he's got anywhere to go or anything to do. "Do you have a place to stay?"

"Yeah I uh, stay in the cabin in the forest? With Derek and Stiles..." He wasn't even sure if this man knew who he was talking about.

"Stiles. The one who talks too much?" He's met him before and seen him around occasionally, and he finds him...intriguing. "And Derek's got to be the one who dresses all in black and thinks he's fooling everyone into thinking he's intimidating as he follows him around." Which could describe himself to an extent, but he's willing to take that if it's thrown out there.

Isaac nods slowly, even though he doesn't quite like the way Jace talks about Derek. "You're an idiot if you're not at least be wary about Derek Hale." Because even before Isaac was a Werewolf, he still knew the rumors.

"Why, is there something about him that I should know?" Because he has picked up on something about him that he can't quite put his finger on, and he's not the only one here, either. "I've faced down a lot of demons that have made me tremble far more and still come out the other side."
