Somewhere There's a Party [OPEN!]
When: Evening of Aug 23rd
Where: Xanadu, in the forest area.
Rating: PG-13 to maybe R? I dunno.
Characters: EVERYONE
Summary: It's Scott McCall's Very Merry Un-Birthday! Lydia Martin is your hostess with the mostest.
Log:
Fairy lights have been strung up amongst the trees, providing the partygoers with just enough illumination to feel like it's a party without being over-bright. An area has been cleared for dancing. There are also two main tables; one full of food, and the other a please to leave gifts and cards and the like.
Food is buffet style and there are no waiters, but there are two small bar setups with tenders manning them - no need for id at this party, kids. Perhaps most interestingly of all, now and again one or two people seem to drop down from the trees, scantily clad and performing brief feats of acrobatics using aerial silks and one or two person trapezes before clambering back up into the branches and disappearing into the greenery once more.

I'm Scott McCall. [ Oh. It's Chekhov. It's true they haven't met and also true Lydia broke the fourth wall with Spock, so he wonders if that was passed around. He chooses to stick to his, be friendly and realize these are real people thing. ] Hi.

Wally. Hi. [ A big grin. ] Thanks. But, I think we all decided it's not actually my birthday. Or it is, again. [ He's still confused. ] Liking the food?

8D funny how Scott is more mature than Wally.
little bit funny... this feeling inside, I mean - it is a little bit funny, yes
By the Bar

He's just going to badger the servers a little as they mix drinks - his with a little umbrella courtesy of an inside joke with Lydia -. He'll find Scott in a bit but he has spent all afternoon with him so he's in no great rush. ]

Dance Floor

Because there are some girls who can do that on a dance floor and look like they're just so confidant that if they dance, the partners will come.
One hand curved around her drink, the other in the air above her head, eyes half-closed, Lydia Martin is dancin' with herse-elf...
...at least until she's not anymore.]
no subject
Do you need another drink?
no subject
Or maybe time to think. [Lydia more or less quotes the song automatically, and drops her free hand back down, in a sort of half-curve midway to Chekov's shoulders.]
But I really need someone to dance with. Help a girl out?

So with a glass of something reddish-pink in a glass with its rim coated with sugar, she tilts her head back to observe the acrobat, and then straightens it to regard Mr. 17-Again.]
Neat, huh?
[They're going to be stuck here. Maybe for a really long time. So they just need to get over it. Right?]
no subject
Yeah. Surprising. [ He didn't see it coming. And he's a werewolf. ] Thanks for throwing this together.

the un-birthday boy
But, all of that doesn't matter tonight. He's enjoyed a great day, breakfast in the morning with his mother, lunch and afternoon hanging with Stiles and oh, now a ... party. He's surprised to say the least considering Stiles said he just wanted to check out Xanadu.
It's a little more extravagant then he'd like but he's still grateful for it. As weird as it is to turn seventeen twice, he's lucky he gets to with his friends, family and new friends.
the un-birthday boy
"Hey. The party seems to be going party-tastic."
the un-birthday boy
Right now, Scott's sipping his soda. His mother was at Ginny's and he knows she saw him partake in some alcohol so he's taking it very easy tonight.
He turns his head to look at Lucy.
"Yeah? It's all Lydia." He points her out over by the bar, no - the dance floor. Oh, she's with Chekhov. That's cool. "Thanks for coming. How did things go with your boyfriend?" Scott, you have no idea what you just pointed out to Lucy, do you? No, you don't. Nice try.
the un-birthday boy
"It went really, really well. We're doing the back together thing. Despite his apparent, at the moment, fondness for red heads."

He's not dressed up, exactly, but he's wearing all black and looks reasonable enough for a party, and he goes in search of the birthday boy himself and anyone else he happens to know. ]
