[He's relaxing? Imagine Angela's shock and awe when he's down next to her. She pretends to actually be shocked, letting her mouth fall open for a quick second before curling it up into a smile. Glancing down at his shorts (also shocking to see he owns a pair of relaxed pants), she goes back to the stick in her hand, pulling it back to blow out the now flaming marshmallow.]

You're gonna have to show me a bit more leg before I can be convinced to share.

[daggers]

Mmhmm. [ She's grinning like an idiot and lingering close in his space before pulling back, but not too far. She doesn't want to leave the comfort of his arm around her. ]

We should do it again sometime.

[daggers]

[ She glances up with a smile and then a slightly surprised expression - judging by those ears, there's only one person she could possibly be talking to right now. But she's not going to broadcast it - instead, she tones down her initial surprise and nods quickly. ]

I was just about to go looking for one myself. Thank you.

[logistical]

[He turns to look at her just as she covers her surprise, and thus, sees nothing.]

[A beat.]

May I ask how you know Mr. Chekov?

[outofthefreezer]

[He leans in and kisses her again, a peck to the lips this time before leaning back and grinning widely, squeezing her slightly. It was nice being able to do that kind of thing.]

Definitely.

If I had to define myself with a label for every talent, we'd be here all day.

[daggers]

[ She grins, fully and openly, and is partly grateful that there's only the light from the fire to illuminate her face, because the blush on her cheeks is more than apparent this time.

When she'd said they should do it again, she hadn't exactly meant right away again, but she's finding she doesn't mind it if he wants to be impulsive. ]

Um, Scott said that you guys found a new werewolf.

[outofthefreezer]

[He stares into the fire, his voice quieting slightly lest they be overheard.]

Yeah, that new guy Peter? He turns into an actual wolf...

[excelsiors]

Mm? _{( he's just kind of dozing, so it doesn't take much to rouse him. in one swift, elegant move, he shoves himself over onto his back. he looks up at uhura, grins. )}

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Lobster are pretty cool.

[hischair]

[ Wading his way into the water, his grin widens. ]

Whatever the lady wants!

[ Just to draw it out, he swings her sideways in his arms three times before tossing her free into the waves. VICTORYYY! ]

[chakotay]

[ well this is going to be awkward.

chakotay's already resigned himself to the knowledge that this won't go as he hopes it will. but he'd promised kathryn he would try, so after parting ways with kathryn, he approaches spock. he's making an actual conscious effort not to make an ass of himself here and to do a better job of treating spock with respect. he may have vulcan roots, but he's not the vulcan who betrayed chakotay's trust. that he has to remember.

stopping nearby, close enough to be a presence but not close enough as to invade if spock doesn't want to see him, he adopts a smile and tries to look far less uncomfortable than he feels. ]

Mind if I join you?

[ Chuckling. ]

Yeah, that would have been my downfall, you're right. I don't know how I would've survived without fishsticks, as a kid.

[hischair]

Your dad's in charge of keeping everyone safe? Sounds like a big responsibility.

[ One that a man could get a lot of flak for, poor guy. ]

This place must be like paradise, no zombies to speak of at least.

[chakotay]

[ chakotay arrives with kathryn, but they don't stay in the same area for the duration of the party. no, at some point, chakotay can be seen wandering around, examining what's going on. he'd brought chekov a present in the form of a bunch of handwritten notes -- a joint gift he'd worked on with kathryn -- and after that was placed where it needed to go, he can be found pretty much anywhere on the beach. he's very open to being approached. ]

[affectioning]

Just some candy. Soda.

[ Clint hasn't given him alcohol yet. ]

Popcorn on and off. You can never have too much popcorn! What about you?

[affectioning]

[ He licks his lips - maybe in anticipation, but also for Isaac's benefit before leaning in to finally kiss Isaac. It's brief, soft, and not like kissing Allison, but that's not a bad thing right now. He pulls back. ]

[affectioning]

[ BUT SKIN CANCER. ]

You had beaches though, right?

[affectioning]

I can assist, if you want. Point me somewhere. I'll be a regular assistant. [ TO SPOCK. ]

[Isaac sighs softly when Scott pulls back, it was a good kind of kiss even if it was brief. It was a great way to start this level of interaction.]

Okay you do have some pretty good incentives...

[affectioning]

There's more where that came from.

[Isaac laughs.]

I better learn more secrets then, to keep them coming.

Then they wouldn't be secrets. I think you're out of luck. But, there's nothing stopping you from giving your own incentives.

[ She shakes her head, still trying to wrap her mind around it, but then she remembers the other thing that Scott had told her. ]

But there's two new ones. Not just Peter.

[ There's an inevitable mark from being so streamlined by the Syndicate's world, pared to the bare minimum. Hei's well-trained to the point that parts of him will always remain out of focus -- made hazy by his own elusiveness, like a motion blur in a snapshot. He can slip identities off and on like clothes, becoming an entirely different person at a moment's notice, and even when he's being the Black Reaper, it's a performance tailored to intimidate a particular audience, to get the info or carry out the hits he's been ordered to. Strip away all those layers -- Li, BK201 -- and at his core is an individual under constant construction from the fragments left behind when everything else that matters has been wrenched away from you. ]

[ Then again, that's exactly what makes Hei such an unpredictable opponent in-field. ]

[ 'Li's bites off another bit of grilled beef, the crunch so sharp it's like it has teeth of its own. Wincing apologetically, he swallows before flashing a smile, ]
