I've been out walking
When; Feb 22nd, evening
Rating; PG-13
Characters; Curt and Penny (But open to crashers)
Summary; Penny feeds Curt while they talk about life, because that's pretty much the basis of their relationship.
Log; When the visitors had disappeared as usual Curt had figured that the City was just being the City and maybe no one was getting any closer to getting home, but the door was still there and the whole purple storm cloud thing seemed awfully ominous. Plus, the rapid ticking was getting to him and turning his amp up to listen to the white noise wasn't doing anything to drown it out. He needed companionship and comfort and also dinner, which meant only one thing--going to the Welcome Center in search of Penny.

What bothers her is the fact that the door is doing something.
But she's coping the way she does best: by ignoring the possibility that the City's going to end or that everyone she cares about will be leaving or that she's going to end her existence sad and alone. Today, that involves baking blueberry muffins. There might even be pizza later. Someone gave her a baking stone for Christmas and it'd be a shame not to use it one more time.
