Log; Finished
When; In the evening
Rating; G for now
Characters;
evilbeneath,
milanbutterfly and
rozenmagician
Summary; Continuing from this post, Cain decided that the best way for Caterina to show her loyalty is to cook them both dinner.
Log;
It was almost time for the both of them to arrive. He should have asked them to come earlier. Though Cain has spent most of the day keeping himself amused by bantering with his neighbors, he grew bored of facing the screen before long. Though it affectively kept him busy, Cain is not the sort who liked sitting still for a long period of time. Especially since this world is working in his favor. Instead for just a mere few hours, his form could easily retain itself for two, three days.
He plopped himself onto the uncomfortable furniture and waited.
[OOC Note; Shortest tag evar D= And the cut title taken from one the musical cabaret's song, 'Mein Herr']

The kitchen was in a mess, not unlike what would happen if Cain himself tried to cook. Perhaps if he tried, it would be an even bigger mess. He had not the patience for it. The blond waved a hand in front of his face in an attempt to clear the smoke and the fine dust of flour that floated about the kitchen, coughing as he breathed in the irritants. The Crusnik looked around the kitchen in awe and gave Caterina another wide grin, “You definitely cooked up a storm in here.”

After they exited the kitchen, she rolled the burnt fish and chips (which were still frozen on the inside) in spices and set them on a platter, then exited to the dining room where she set them down. "They will taste better than they look, I imagine." And waited with a patient smile for the both of them to eat.

His stomach would have turned if he was a normal human. The fish was cold inside. He subtly muttered some chant to heat them before Cain ate his. He would not spend the rest of his day looking after a sullen Kreznik protesting about stomach aches.
“For your first attempt, Eisendame, it’s better than I expected.”

“It tastes wonderful, Eisendame,” the blond agreed, poking one of the potatoes with his fork. He peered at it carefully, “I like the way you cut it, but… it does not seemed peeled?”

And of course the bones were still in the fish.

Picking up his wineglass, he chanted once more, making tiny shadows devour the bones in his and Cain’s dish before his leader got choked with a loose spine.
Perhaps he should have named the Duchess Küchengefahr instead of Eisendame.
[[OOC: Küchengefahr = Kitchen Peril/Danger]].

He waved his fork in the air, potato chunk still attached as he continued, not giving a chance for Caterina to even answer his first query. “This fish is great, you took out the bones just like the way I like it.”

“Roses doesn’t have thorns. Fishes don’t have bones,” he mused, feigning innocence and sipped white wine to wash away the bad taste from his mouth.

“I’ve heard from either Miss Evelynne or Miss Sunny that the gardens found around here has roses without any thorns,” the blond said. “Perhaps it applies to fishes as well… though how exactly would those fishes swim if it is boneless?”

Isaak's comment caught her attention, was he attempting to impress upon her that the fixes were his doing? She was grateful for that, but wondered why.

“We haven’t seen any river or lake, haven’t we?” he asked, furrowing his brows. “This world doesn’t follow the logic ours does. Thus impossible feats like roses without thorns, eggs falling from the sky, everblooming lilies and fishes lacking bones aren’t oddities.”

The blond leaned back contentedly. He loved to talk, especially after a meal. “The reason that I like this world is because it does not follow logic. Or perhaps, this world is logical and our world is not. You can’t say that it is not a possibility. Different worlds may have different sort of logic that apply to them but not to us. ”

If he did, he would probably think himself delirious first.
“Eisendame, do please take the dishes. I will wash them later,” dismissed the Magician, glancing at Cain. “Mein Herr needs a minute to think of your rank.”
Also, he did not like how agreeable Caterina had displayed herself later on the evening. There was not tension in her body. None the Mage was able to detect. She could not develop a soft spot for Cain, could she? That was absurd to even think about it. No one had a soft spot for Mein Herr. Even Dietrich. The Puppet Master just worshipped the Kreznik.
[[OOC: Jealous!Isaak]].

“Well, it does not mean that you have not spotted any means that there aren’t any, Isaak. As you’ve said so earlier, logic does not apply in this world. So perhaps we may see fishes floating after all.”
He took a moment to ponder on Isaak’s statement. He would definitely not place Caterina into the same rank as Marionettenspieler, Eis Hexe or Basilisk, but placing her on the same rank as Flamberge may prick at the Duchess’s pride. Internal politics, it hurts his head just thinking about it.
