Log, ongoing

When; January 10th/11th (Totally irrelevant, rly)
Rating; PG-13 - ?!
Characters; Nico Robin and Jyabura
Summary; The first meeting at their hidden lairâ„¢ after Jyabura ate broke Kaku's face in their tiiiny conflict about Robin
Log;
Jyabura'd gotten to their shared apartment very soon after Isane left. Right now he didn't want to be so close at the place the whole fight took place, the reek from blood the apartment next door drove him nearly insane. He'd take care of that mess sometime, though he couldn't fix the broken window. Right now, staying at another apartment away from that cat and the squarenose seemed like the best idea ever.

He spent nearly a whole day in the flat alone, mostly lying around on the couch lazily, 'busy' recovering from his injuries though Isane had nearly patched him up completely. The main thing was that his broken ribs were healed, the scratches didn't bother him without the splints anymore. Bored he stood up and looked out of the window; he told Isane to say Robin he'd wait here for her. The time alone did him good, he completely ignored all the whinings about some "war" going on, he had enough problems with their own war.

"I'm under the impression that you're too much of a nice guy for CP9," she said, even if she did know that he probably only acted this way when he was with her, not with anyone else.

"Do you really? Prove it then," she said, but now with a bright smile, knowing that she had failed in keeping her facade up any longer.

"It's okay, I was just teasing you. Don't worry," she said, still smiling. God, he really wasn't good at things like this, wasn't he? Even lighthearted questions like those still managed to get him nervous. But then, Robin didn't mind; it was kind of cute.

"Yes, I did. Does it bother you?" she asked, amused expression not leaving her face for a second but looking away to stare at the window. Her mind absently wandered to her nakama, to what they'd think if they knew she was here, to Sanji in particular. She hadn't felt so guilty in a long time, she was disappointing the people the loved most, simply by being happy. It was starting to kill her from the inside.

"It's just that..." she started, pausing a moment to choose her words carefully. "My nakama still act distant towards me. No, that's a lie. Cook-san still acts distant towards me. It's starting to make me feel horribly uncomfortable and I don't know what I could do to make it right again.

"He'll probably assault you or something," she said pessimistically, knowing that Sanji would never do that, but he probably would if she was being abducted again. He had always been hellbent on protecting her and he sure did now, too, but she missed his silly affections and the 'Robin-chan'. "I don't know if you should."

"Well..." she said, thinking about possible scenarios. The worst one was that they'd scratch each other's eyes out, which was actually pretty realistic. The other one was that they'd come to a possible solution, something that probably wouldn't happen so quickly. "You're right. I'm sure he'd want to compromise too."

She sighed and leaned against him while closing her eyes; she didn't have high hopes for this.

"Like this?" she chuckled while wrapping her arms around him and grinning slightly, amused beyond belief. "It'll definitely be okay. Especially like this."

She leaned closer and kissed him gently, just to be an annoying tease, like she used to be. Too many things had made her more and more solemn.
