Log: Ongoing
When; Wednesday, March 28th, Afternoon.
Rating; I'm gonna put R, b/c of some of the battle plans that I'm aware of.
Characters; Too many to list individually, but most all Naruto characters, and a few others.
Summary; The long-simmering tension between Akatsuki and Konoha finally boils over. I think that sums it up.
*Note*
Alright, as this log is going to be so very long, and have so very many people, please put the name of the person your action is directed towards into the subject-line of your post. Keep to standard Poly rules, so no god-modding and be considerate. Also please refrain from Sue-armour. If you don't want your character to die, that's fine, just make sure to keep things realistic. Please don't jump in on the fight unless you've already been counted as part of it. Not to exclude people, I just don't want this to get so big that we can't handle it. Afterall, it's not supposed to be a one-sided slaughter for EITHER side, so let's keep things fair. Anyone who wants to say they watched the fight is free to do so, and you may post your characters' arrival to watch if you like, just don't interfere w/the actual battle. As with all things, please enjoy~
Log; Standing at the edge of the desert, Itachi allowed crimson eyes to scan the sand to one side and the trees to the other. They would be there soon. This had been building for far too long to be denied, and there was blood to be spilt. Whether his own side had started it, or their side, it mattered little to the cloaked man who stood on the sands and waited. The outcome would be the same. A chance to once again verify the breadth of his container, an opportunity to rid himself of annoyances once and for all.
Some might have called it arrogance, but to the Uchiha, it was merely common sense. Indeed, he might die. But that mattered little to him. Afterall, it wasn't as though he didn't consider his own head full of memories he had little use for. And the deities of this place bargained in memories. Returning a life in exchange seemed to be little more then a parlour trick for them. But his enemies? Their minds were full of the soft and cloyingly sweet fruits of friendship and love. Things that made sacrificing parts of yourself a more difficult task. Not to mention that even if he fell here, he would be certain to take others with him. And in doing that, removing yet another handful of players from the overall game.

A man jumped from the back of the bird, his clothing a stark contrast to the tawny backdrop that he stood upon. Black emblazoned with red clouds. A faint jingle was heard, floating across the air, followed by a few words.
"Am I late, Itachi, un?"
no subject
"No, Deidara. I would say your timing is impeccable."
Staring at the treeline, listening to the faint crash of the waves on the beach behind them, the sharingan whirled lazily. Itachi didn't need the Hyuuga clan's Byakugan in order to sense the chakra signatures that remained hidden by the thick foliage.
"It would seem that they expect us to make the first move. Perhaps a little of your art, Deidara?"

Something red darted out, slithering over lips and coating them with a moist sheen. A motion of anticipation....Folding his arms, the now-moistened lips drew into a grin.
This will be quite worthwhile...

Slowly stepping from the shadows, the medic strode forward carefully to the side of his master.

The steady tapping of feet came apparent to him, as did familiar chakra.
The quiet metallic humming kicked in once again.
It was such awful circumstances, yet the plant overgrowth couldn't help but smile. After all, he hadn't fed in a long while...
"Kekeke...It shan't be long now..."
Watcher's only entry
Casting her sword on the ground, Red sat at the shadow of a oak, taking the scarlet feather of the Angel Aziraphale, exhaling the scent of mixed blood and brushing the soft end to her nose. They would gather, she knew. She would watch them, but it was their choice to see her or not. Sometimes it was easier to bear if they did not realize her presence at all.
She put the feather in her auburn hair and smiled like a knife.

"I am here, Uchiha. Now, you'd best keep your end of the bargain to me, as I will be fighting to aid you." Silver lips pursed on the end of these words, as if they were almost revolting to make audible. She never aided anyone, really--with the exception of those who were the Horde, but even that was due to a congruency of interests. She had made a pact with Thrall and Cairne--a 'you aid me, I'll aid you' sort of treaty. Sighing softly, she told herself once more that this was not much different, and if it would get her back to the Ruins of Lordaeron where she belonged, then it was a move worth making.

"So," he said aloud, kicking up some ground impatiently, "Who's the first on this little hit parade to tangle with the G-man?"
Watcher Post for Major's party
The Major sat at one such of these tables, sipping at a cup of cocoa.
And behind him, the Captain loomed like only a seven foot werewolf consumed by his own harshly controlled rage can loom.
Woe betide the univited guest who tried to crash the Major's party.
Re: Watcher Post for Major's party
"Has it started yet?" Schrödinger asked, excitedly.
((OOC: If Cain and Isaak show up here. I'll have Dietrich join them)).

Shikamaru glanced up at the redhead for a moment before he turned his attention back to the task at hand, which was waiting and figuring out the right moment to strike. They had to move carefully, wait until they had all of their cards ready. Only then did it make sense to make a move.

Enjoying the show
"Oh my," he smiled, setting down a blanket to calmly watch the scene unfold, "It appears that even more contenders than I thought have shown up. Looks to be quite an event."
He calmly sat on the downslope of a dune and sipped lightly from a thermos full of tea. Hiding his presence would really serve no point, anyway. The players had other worries.

Well, that didn't matter now. Now was the day to prove himself. After everything that'd happened since arriving in the City, to both him and his friends, Akatsuki were going to pay for it all.
The jinchuriki that had already been slain. The hundreds, possible thousands, of people that had tried to stop them over the years. And now, the events that had occured during their time inside the City. Each and every thing needed to be paid for. And from the looks of the other allies around the scene, it looked like they were all thinking along similar lines. Akatsuki needed to be stopped. And now.

Well, here may be the answer to our problems...
Moving slightly, he allowed himself to be seen by the boy, almost as if enticing him to fight.

Slowly, the copy-nin reached into his pocket to retrieve a kunai, spinning it around his finger as he gazed at his surroundings.
He remained silent. His hitai-ate still covered his scarred eye, whilst the other grey pupil pruned the scene once again.

"Kakashi."
Wasting no time on pleasantries, he nodded to the silver and black form of Sylvanas.
"I'm not sure who that is, but she looks like a ranged fighter, and she looks powerful. We may need your Mangekyo at some point."

While an Inuzuka might forget someones face, they'd never forget their scent. She knew that scent. She'd smelled it the day Kiba came back from trying to retrieve the Uchiha child, bleeding and half-dead.
Last she'd heard, the person who did that met a very gruesome end. However, since it appeared that he was actually here and now, maybe it was time for a little bit of payback.
