Summary: Dracula is not amused by the abrupt rerouting of his journey to England.
Log:

When the Demeter came to rest at Whitby, there was not a living soul above or below deck. Dracula had seen to that detail with ruthless efficiency. No one would know how he had come into England. No one would know that the men who had brought him had seen a monster. Perhaps, in another era, the living would have believed the fantastic tale woven in the ship's log, but the world was changing, and England's officials were inclined to approach mysteries in a pragmatic and scientific fashion. They were fools ... but their foolishness suited his endeavors.

Still, there was one more difficulty to overcome before he entered England. All members of the ship's crew had been accounted for in the log. No passengers had been listed. A survivor in the form of a man would be remarked upon and detained, but Dracula had no intention of coming ashore on two legs. Unhindered by the violence of the ship's final drive to shore, he moved above deck. He had taken the form of a large, black wolf. In the chaos of the storm, he would easily be mistaken for a dumb brute if he was seen.

The Demeter shuddered as she ran aground. Dracula leapt from the bow. His claws found purchase in the slick sand, but he skidded to a halt not two strides onto the beach and spun around.

There was no wrecked ship in his wake. The sea was calm, free of fog and gale and frothing waves. Dracula ground his teeth together in consternation as he slowly swung about. Everything was different. There was no village, no cliff, no churchyard. It was as though, in the instant he had left the deck of the Demeter, the world he had meant to enter had been swept away and replaced by another.

"But you do," Integral pointed out, sneering. How stupid would he be to dismiss help so easily? "You are lost, Count. This isn't England. If you don't come with us, we will force you. I am not putting Alucard's existence at stake for your mere whim."

[identity profile] warconductor.livejournal.com 2007-04-05 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
"Very well," the Major said. "Let us start with a certainity. Your name is Count Vlad Dracula. And you left your home in Romania to come to England. But you did not find yourself there, did you?"

[[Sorry if I'm talking so much. I'm stuck in a boring class and the Major's wordy by nature. If I'm monopolizing the conversation, I'm totally sorry, and just tell me so.]]

"Monsters know monsters," the Major replied. "Terrifying you may be, but more terrifying you will become. Death is not on my list of fears. Go with the girl and her pets if you wish. It is, quite frankly, no concern of mine. Nor of the Captain's. But you should probably be aware that he will want his revenge. And he might yet have it."

He smiled, his glasses reflecting the light.

"I have that feeling."

The coffin tapped Dracula on the shoulder and threw a right hook as the vampire turned.

Girlycard giggled, "You really should listen to me. Feel it. I'm you. So is big red."

[identity profile] hercount.livejournal.com 2007-04-05 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
"Seek you more? Or an explanation. Of this place. Of Harker," The vampire paused dramatically, "And of Mina."

The Captain seemed to have regained control of the primal within. He turned to Alucard. He seemed to have regained control of the primal within.

And slowly raised an eyebrow.

[identity profile] steeldame.livejournal.com 2007-04-05 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
Integral hated to be called as girl or little girl. It reminded her to Richard and to all the men who had underestimated her.

But she had show them. Each of them had regretted those words.

The best way to regard the taunt was to ignore it and focus on get Dracula safe. His question made her lift an eyebrow.

"Is that so?" she asked, glancing at Alucard meaningfully. She wanted to discern if this man was or not the past version of her servant. If he wasn't, she would turn to attack Major instead.

[identity profile] hercount.livejournal.com 2007-04-05 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
He gave a slight inclination of his head to Integral, he did not know if this was his past version.

He only knew about Girlycard when he came nearer and touched him.

Ahh so this one was of earlier than that smallish obsesion with Mina. "Come with us willingly or be taken by force. See the power you will have in the future, hm?"

To Harker he arched a brow in return, the message clear: stand down, concentrate on other matters.

[identity profile] warconductor.livejournal.com 2007-04-05 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
The Major began to laugh.

Above him, the Dandy began to chuckle.

"Ahh, but this is amusing. Truly, too amusing. Here dance three people, yet one person. Who claims the title?"

[[OOC: Lore, think you could have Schrodinger show up and deliver a message to the Major from Doc? Whisper in the ear type thing.]]

[identity profile] tinyvampiregod.livejournal.com 2007-04-05 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
"Who put you in charge, fat man?" Then smirked, "Broken any poles lately?"

[identity profile] steeldame.livejournal.com 2007-04-05 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
"Have your hound knock him out, Alucard. I will carry him if I must," Integral ordered. The dog would be perfect to use to avoid direct contact.

((OOC: Sure!)).

The vampire leapt down and faced Dracula head on, reaching into his jacket, he took out a placket of blood and tossed it to the other vampire.

"Hungry? Bite in."

[identity profile] hercount.livejournal.com 2007-04-05 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Ingrate," He snerked as Baskerville smashed into Dracula from behind, attempting to knock the other vampire out.

After placing her gun in her holster, Integral approached him carefully, knelt and reached out for one of his arms to lift him and both rose together. She had her silver cross guarding her neck at least.

He was heavy, but she had a strength and reflexes above average. Integral was a Hellsing and would carry on her mission.

"Tell me if he even moves a single muscle, Alucard."

Integral Hellsing began to drag Dracula away.

[identity profile] hercount.livejournal.com 2007-04-05 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
"Yes, Master," Alucard replied, stalking close behind her, if the other vampire moved, he would have Baskerville attack.

[identity profile] rekindled-heart.livejournal.com 2007-04-05 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
"My, my, Sir Integral, such a heavy load..."

Leaving the little vampire, the Major and his cat-eared boy, Vladislaus took to following both Alucard and his Master; at a decent distance, of course.

He wanted to see what this -other- Dracula looked like...

[identity profile] hercount.livejournal.com 2007-04-05 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
"Her load to carry, step back," Alucard replied with a smirk, moonlight glinting off his gun and fangs.
