Log; COMPLETE
When; June 10
Rating; PG
Characters; Kisame
samehada_lover and Aizen
good_and_proper
Summary; Kisame is sick of Aizen's face and so means to destroy it.
Log;
There was a small bounce to Kisame's step as he approached the Pandora restaurant where Aizen claimed to be dining. It really had been too long since he had killed someone. The opportunity to put his sword to use against such an arrogant sack of refuse was just too delightful to turn down. Itachi-san wouldn't mind. After all, Aizen might be an ally (for now), but that didn't mean he had to be a living one.
He made sure to take the route where he could approach the bastard from behind. Seeing him now, that pretentious lift of his spine, a ridiculous parasol shading the back of his head, was enough to make a man break out a deadly water jutsu then and there. Good thing for Aizen, Kisame had manners.

"Hey, ugly! Did you order my tea?"

Enough even to absorb the energy of a nine-tailed fox.
What sort of demon was this man? Was this why Itachi-san was so enamored with the fellow?
At the thought, Kisame snarled and ripped his sword back from Aizen's grip. "No, that's not it."
no subject
Aizen stepped back, folding his arms once more.
"I'm not some witless child with a beast inside him, so please try a bit harder."
no subject
But if he didn't, it would seem even worse.
There was a damn good reason Itachi-san chose to stay with him instead of breaking off and partnering with this arrogant sod.
With that in mind, Kisame threw Samehada into the air and watched as her bindings came undone during her ascent.
"Suiton bakushouha!"
He sucked in air and breathed water out on the exhale. How would the bastard respond to the onslaught of a tsunami coming at his pretty little face?
no subject
"Hm," he hummed as the water dripped down his body. No visible damage seemed to be on him.
"Another interesting parlor trick. I suppose you are a water specialist?" he said, extending a hand, "Good to know. Do bear with me and try not to die."
He mumbled something under his breath and flexed his open hand, releasing a lightning based kido which arc through the air toward Kisame.

Sometimes his enemies' necks snapped like toothpicks when tons upon tons of water hailed down upon them. Those were usually the ones who made assumptions about the strength of water itself, often spouting smart phrases like "What are you going to do, rain on me?" before Kisame ushered them toward their doom, obviously forgetting how heavy one gallon of water truly was. Some enemies dodged, others drowned, and more still disappeared, never to be found again.
Few took the impact and lived.
Something akin to doubt surfaced in Kisame's mind when he saw Aizen still standing, the only thing affected being his ridiculous outfit, now soaked through.
His eyes widened when Aizen reached an arm out. Nothing good ever came out of that stance. He had just enough time to turn Samehada sideways against his body when he heard the incantation.
The impact sent him flying hundreds of yards in the air, finally landing head first into the leftover water of the tsunami.
Samehada had taken the brunt of the lightening attack, but there was a moment of darkness in Kisame's mind before he found himself again beneath the waves.

"Will you yield? Have you had enough yet?" he smirked, casually stepping toward his prey, "This can all stop."
Aizen came to halt several meters from Kisame's position, looking down at him.

He cocked his head, considering the man in a new light. If he had come to a draw with Itachi-san....
"How about you tell me something I want to know?"
no subject
His hand lowered as he focused his ears on Kisame's question.
no subject
"I want you to tell me how you came back to life." He quelled a flash of fury that rose from his gut to his throat, threatening to choke him.
"Then I want to know why you haven't shared your secrets with Itachi-san."
no subject
He smiled up at the man, smiling, "He never even came to me."
no subject
This was one of those times.
He mumbled into the too-large Akatsuki collar, "Well, erm ... Itachi-san does have an unfortunate overabundance of pride...."
He made himself look into those eyes, arrogant or no. "Does this mean you wouldn't be adverse to sharing?"
no subject
"You don't get it, do you? It wouldn't do any good. The price is DIFFERENT for everyone. Only the gods know what they want. For me, they wanted zanpakutous of my enemies and blood. For Itachi, it would be different. Everyone is different, depending on what the gods want them to get. It will more than likely be something difficult."
"Do you understand?"
no subject
He needed to keep his head. In more ways than one.
"So, er.... How does one go about discovering what these gods desire? In return for life, I mean."
An image flashed before his eyes, of bright orange tails slamming down against mountainsides, shaking the earth beneath its fury.

"There is a building in the city, located on the map, where you can make requests to the gods. Go there, are you dense?"
no subject
As a matter of fact, there had been a lack of communication between Kisame and Itachi since his arrival. A dead Itachi was a brooding Itachi, and a brooding Itachi was a murderous one. Kisame usually ended up tiptoeing around the apartment these days.
It was infuriating, in its own way.
"Why would I ask them when it's so much more fun to ask you?" Kisame said, grinning.
no subject
"Very well," Aizen said, drawing his zanpakutou, "I'll do this quickly. Be gratefuly you will live."
He held the blade in front of his body, the metal flashing as he released it's shikai.
"Are you prepared?"
no subject
While he much preferred to take his time with his enemies, this one would have to be silenced quickly.

In the moments it took to reach Aizen, he imagined what would happen if word of this encounter got back to Itachi-san. While it was unlikely that there would be any physical repercussions for taking this matter into his own hands (Itachi only fought when he needed to), it most definitely could affect their working relationship. Itachi had been conspicuously absent these days. Hearing about this could cause the precarious balance of their partnership to crumble even further.
He had to silence this man.
The torrent rushed downwards taking Kisame with it. He held his sword high, aimed to split Aizen in two.
no subject
"Have you seen a ghost, I wonder?" he said, slamming his palm forward from behind the shinobi.
no subject
Kisame was used to seeing strange things those few times he found himself caught in genjutsus, from flesh melting off faces to bodies bursting into a hundred ravens.
It never failed to jar him.
He felt the chakra rushing toward his body and managed to call on the Shunshin no Jutsu before anything connected. Aizen would have only seen a puff of mist before catching sight of Kisame a few yards ahead of him.
"Is that all you have?"
no subject
"Hardly," he said, "But I don't try to swat a fly with a chainsaw."
He lashed out with a straight jab, aiming the blow for Kisame's lower spine.
no subject
That ... hurt.
Fine. If he couldn't defeat the bastard from above, he would do it from below. He folded his arms against his sides and kicked with his back legs, the water rushing past his gills, exhilarating. If he tried really hard, he could almost smell the blood in the veins of the hunted.
He burst from the water just mere feet from where Aizen stood, planning to use the momentum to try and bowl him over. One hand jutted out in hopes of catching the man's neck.
If all went well, he could just rip out Aizen's throat with his teeth.
no subject
Aizen waited until he was just within reach, then snaked his arm out, gripping Kisame's hand with his own and applying pressure. He brough his face in close to the shinobi's, smiling.
"Do you think I am so easy to beat? Ridiculous."
no subject
She would always come to him.
"Did anyone ever tell you that you're unbearably ugly when you're this close?"
This time he swept Samehada toward the man from below, straight between the legs.
That's going to hurt, Kisame thought, smiling.
