Log; Ev's Welcome Back Party x) [ INCOMPLETE... forever, most likely ]

When; Today (July 29th)
Rating; Oh lord, you never know what's going to happen.
Characters; Well. The whole city if they want to join in.
Summary; Zack's throwing Ev a Returning To the City Party and, well. There's alcohol?
Note; So yeah, I decided to have one of these up anyways. So here's how it's gonna work. I'm stealing Shahni's idea with putting on the Subject Line who you want to talk to in specific. So, if you're wanting to talk to Zack, you put something like [ ATTN: Zack ] on the subject line. Pretty easy, right?

If you want to talk to just anyone and it's open and free for all, put [ ATTN: All ] on the subject line. Or something on those lines. And yeah, click "reply to this" and not "post a new comment" when you want to talk to someone in specific if the thread asks for you. It'll get confusing otherwise.

So yeah, join in if you want. If not? That's cool too, I just wanted to give the option to those who don't mind doing something random. ♥ And pls to be forgiving my intro post. I just woke up, after all.

Log;

So this whole party thing was pretty cool so far. The Host Club kids came to his place and started setting things up in the morning, and they all seemed like such good sports (and a lot of help, too) and were doing a pretty damn good job with everything so far.

Sure, there were a few... very small accidents here and there, but that was mainly Zack's fault since he didn't know where to put himself half of the time. The couch was his new best friend for the first few hours after that.

But soon things were set up and ready to go all thanks to them, and Zack had taken the liberty to give them all hugs before the flow of people started coming in.

Now while his place wasn't exactly huge, it was big enough to throw a party. And as Zack said once, if things got too crowded there was always the hallway to parade in, especially since it would just gather more attention and Zack, for one, loved attention. Especially if it involved people getting together like this and being able to meet new faces. Thus why it wasn't a small party, like, well, welcome back parties should be.

And things were finally picking up, quicker than he thought, actually. Maybe he should have thought about doing it outside, but did Zack ever take anyone's advice? Oh no. Not at all. But it wasn't overly crowded since he prodded some people outside in the hall where there were plenty things set up there as well.

Zack looked extremely pleased as violet eyes circled around towards the mini crowd he had going in and out, waving and saying loud “hello!”s over people's heads as he either passed out drinks or ran to go talk to random bits of friends here and there.

[Evelynne and possibly Sunny. No congrats, I promise]

Peering over the heads surrounding him, Uriel did not notice Kurogane's possibly hepatically fatal accidental choice of beverage. Instead, he noticed Evelynne looking pissed off on the sofa. The natural tendency of the Angel of Emo, I'm sorry, the Angel of Earth, is of course to gravitate to the unhappy end of the party. He slipped through the crowd to said end and made a little bow in front of Evelynne and Sunny.

"Hail." He said. "Forgive my intrusion. What is the purpose of this party, and to whom should I give thanks?"

[Uriel, you wordy emo angel.]

Some guy who apparently came from the B.C. era or something had showed up, much to Evelynne's...chagrin. She wasn't really here to answer questions or anything, much less make chatty (even if that seemed to be what she did most of the time) with one of the angels who had trouble speaking concisely.

Then again, she didn't have anything else to do except sit with Sunny on a couch, really.

"Well, according to Zack," she responded dryly, "it's a welcome back party. You should probably thank him."

[I only do it to annoy, Evvie my dear]

Uriel peered around the room. "Zack. That is the man with the pointed black hair? I saw him once, I think. I will thank him for inviting me. Thank you." He turned to go, then looked confused for a moment and turned back to look at Evelynne. "You are not happy to be back here, and this does not surprise me, as many dislike this place and wish to escape. I feel the anger coming from you. Does he hold the party because he is happy to have you back among us? If so, this seems unfair to you."

[I can tell, seeing as you're reading my mind instead now. Fiend.]

Brow furrowed and expression skeptical, Ev looked Uriel over as she drank down whatever it was she had in her cup currently. The thought, "Not enough vermouth," crossed her mind for a second, a distasteful look replacing the skeptical one. Actually, she noticed neither this nor that, attention a little scattered because of the party's atmosphere.

When she realized that she'd paused long enough as it was, she said, "I'm not angry." Just really pissed off with the city, she added mentally. Like always.

A glance around said that people seemed plenty happy (the alcohol, she reminded herself), and maybe it was obvious that she was a little out of place considering that. "Frankly, I'm not sure why he's holding the party. I appreciate the thought, but the 'welcome back' subject isn't exactly my favorite."

[Ooh, Harsh. Cruel Harsh.]

Uriel waited out the pause, head slightly tilted, as Evelynne downed her drink and viewed him sceptically. It did seem unfair to him that others should be happy while the object of the party was, if not angry, then at least exasperated about her situation.

"Frankly, I'm not sure why he's holding the party. I appreciate the thought, but the 'welcome back' subject isn't exactly my favorite."

"No. No, I see why it would not be." Uriel said. "Is there aught that I could do to make your evening more enjoyable? Fetch more Vermouth? Inform the man named Zack that it is impolite to hold a party to celebrate the return of someone who is unhappy to be returning?"

There was no change of expression on Uriel's face to indicate whether he was joking or seriously offering to do that.

[Alas, the flight home was way too long.]

This was probably the strangest thing in the last hour that had happened to Evelynne. With the fact that said title was taken every half hour, this wasn't much to say, but it wasn't every day that a giant winged man came and asked questions so seriously.

And how did he know about the vermouth anyway?

"Err...no. Don't worry about it," she answered with some hesitance. "Thanks anyway though? You're...not being serious, are you?"

[Not to worry.]

Uriel gave her a slightly confused look. "I am always serious." He looked up again. "My presence often unnerves. I will trouble you no more if you wish."

[Emo angel icon! D:]

"You're...always serious," Ev repeated, with a double dose of skepticism. "Okay. Well, it's not like I'm bothered by you being here, but if you've got other people you want to talk to, I'm not much conversation, you know." She shrugged slightly.

Uriel looked bewildered for a moment. Clearly the woman wasn't entirely cheerful, but she also might well wish to be left alone. He decided to leave her for a little while in the company of the others and wander.

"Ah.. I will. If there is nothing I can do to improve your evening. I hope you are able to enjoy yourself a little." He bowed and moved away.
