Log; Ev's Welcome Back Party x) [ INCOMPLETE... forever, most likely ]

When; Today (July 29th)
Rating; Oh lord, you never know what's going to happen.
Characters; Well. The whole city if they want to join in.
Summary; Zack's throwing Ev a Returning To the City Party and, well. There's alcohol?
Note; So yeah, I decided to have one of these up anyways. So here's how it's gonna work. I'm stealing Shahni's idea with putting on the Subject Line who you want to talk to in specific. So, if you're wanting to talk to Zack, you put something like [ ATTN: Zack ] on the subject line. Pretty easy, right?

If you want to talk to just anyone and it's open and free for all, put [ ATTN: All ] on the subject line. Or something on those lines. And yeah, click "reply to this" and not "post a new comment" when you want to talk to someone in specific if the thread asks for you. It'll get confusing otherwise.

So yeah, join in if you want. If not? That's cool too, I just wanted to give the option to those who don't mind doing something random. ♥ And pls to be forgiving my intro post. I just woke up, after all.

Log;

So this whole party thing was pretty cool so far. The Host Club kids came to his place and started setting things up in the morning, and they all seemed like such good sports (and a lot of help, too) and were doing a pretty damn good job with everything so far.

Sure, there were a few... very small accidents here and there, but that was mainly Zack's fault since he didn't know where to put himself half of the time. The couch was his new best friend for the first few hours after that.

But soon things were set up and ready to go all thanks to them, and Zack had taken the liberty to give them all hugs before the flow of people started coming in.

Now while his place wasn't exactly huge, it was big enough to throw a party. And as Zack said once, if things got too crowded there was always the hallway to parade in, especially since it would just gather more attention and Zack, for one, loved attention. Especially if it involved people getting together like this and being able to meet new faces. Thus why it wasn't a small party, like, well, welcome back parties should be.

And things were finally picking up, quicker than he thought, actually. Maybe he should have thought about doing it outside, but did Zack ever take anyone's advice? Oh no. Not at all. But it wasn't overly crowded since he prodded some people outside in the hall where there were plenty things set up there as well.

Zack looked extremely pleased as violet eyes circled around towards the mini crowd he had going in and out, waving and saying loud “hello!”s over people's heads as he either passed out drinks or ran to go talk to random bits of friends here and there.

[All, but mainly Zack]

"Hey, you with the bad hair-" like she was really one to talk- "do you have anything non-alcoholic around here?" Larx called, weaving her way through the crowd, careful not to let her half-healed arm get jostled around too much. She'd prefer to avoid a repeat of the hangover she had after Reno's party.

A slim figure stationed by the drink table, Aerith kept a close eye on those that approached. It wouldn't do if the children got a hold of an alcoholic beverage by mistake. She wasn't trying to be a damper on the fun. In fact, she had never even planned on having to do this in the first place.

But after noticing that there were children in this party not even in their teens, well, she wasn't about to have them passing out on the floor.

Noticing a little cherub reach for a wine cooler she plucked it from his hands, cheerfuly switching it with a plastic cup of soda. "This one's better."

Kairi walked down the hallway towards apartment #33, straightening out her halter-top and pleated miniskirt while making a quick mental skim over her checklist. Complimenting outfit; check. Light make-up; check. Necklace, earrings, bangles; check. Pouch-purse; check. Sandals, ...well, duh. Sora; ...half a check. Riku; ...was Riku coming?

She twirled around with a tiny sigh before smiling enthusiastically, hands laced behind her back and fiddling with the jewelry adorning them. "Sora~!" she chirped across the hall. "Come on!"

"The party isn't going anywhere, Kairi." Sora protested as he stretched, crossing both arms behind his head as he quickened his pace to catch up to her.

Thanks to Kairi's help, Sora was a touch more well dressed as usual. Left to his own devices it would have been the typical jeans and t-shirt, but now; snug long-sleeved red shirt with a lock designing the front, bell-bottomed black jeans and a beanie that managed to tame his mess of spikes. He had weaseled out of the touch of makeup somehow.

Pausing he spared Roxas and Riku a glance over his shoulder, pointing out. "I can hear the music from here!"

Sands was was no help at all during the set up. When asked he pulled down his sunglasses and showed off his gasping eye holes for all to see and claimed 'disability'. He stands near a wall and drinks from a plastic cup. Every now and then he trips some unsuspecting person with his cane.

"Sands quit fuckin around!!" Jan growled low moving to stand along side of the blindman. The vampire grasped the white cane and moved it out of people's path.

Being a good head taller the vampire loomed over the smaller man. To someone who didn't know them, it looked as Jan if was being predatory as he leaned in close to be heard over the party's din, "There's these really fuckin weird flyers for some SciFi thing all over the City and...."

The sound of fireworks outside distracted Jan, twisting around to look out a nearby open window he saw something fall from the sky, "What the fuck??!!"

[Kabuto to Shizune and whoever wants to jump in]

[identity profile] snake-servant.livejournal.com 2006-07-30 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
Kabuto had decided that he did want to come to this party he had been hearing about at the last minute; if he was going to be in the City for a while he might as well enjoy it. Not to mention he liked places where lots of people gathered like this, it was easier to stand out or dissapear into the crowd depending on the what one wanted. Right now he wanted neither really, but just to mingle. He had no purpose to being here, well not really.

He reajusted his glasses while trying to keep his smile from being too much of a smirk. "This will be a great way to meet people, Shizune san. Besides it should be fun." He was walking slightly in front of the woman, almost litteraly dragging her along.

"... I don't think I signed up for any 'fun'." Shizune grumbled, reluctantly allowing Kabuto to drag her into the party. She didn't know any of these people, but apparently Kabuto might be acquainted with some of them. Either way, she felt sort of obligated to come along when she was asked, as it was the least she could do, having asked to stay in the man's apartment. She had no other place to go, she kept telling herself.

"And I think you enjoy putting me in these awkward situations." She muttered, trying to look about without seeming to amazed by the variety of people hanging about. So many things she had never seen, clothing, hair, behavior. It was a little overwhelming, but she was safe in the knowledge that she at least knew the man who brought her.

While it wasn't quite within his interest to attend a party that everyone in the city had been invited to, Kyou figured he had nothing to lose, by going. Except maybe a handful of braincells, although that happened on a regular basis, he supposed. Maybe it'd simply be in his best interest to set any personal opinions and judgments aside, for now. After the mind-numbing sounds from the other day, a change of scenery would be be nice, especially if the people hosting said party had some sort of stereo system hooked up. Regardless, it'd be a good break from the steady ticking.

Kyou mingled around the room for a short bit before heading to one of the refreshment tables. It felt slightly awkward to attend a party of such diversity; not everyone would attend, he assumed, but still, the blonde wasn't exactly used to seeing children when at a party. Kyou hoped silently that things wouldn't get too out of hand, but knew, at the same time, that it was probably inevitable.

After grabbing one of the countless chilled glass bottles and popping the cap, Kyou lingered by the table, quietly observing, for the time being.

Jack swaggers in late, but seems to have started the party early and privately with the cache of rum on his ship, so it balances out. His sway isn't so bad, though. He's certainly been more drunk at events more public.

He pushes his way through the crowd in the hall to squeeze into the apartment proper, holding his hat tight to his head the whole way. Once he's inside the room, he holds his arms wide (likely bumping at least one person) and smiles, looking down his nose at the room.
"I'm here. You can all stop your worrying. Now... Where's the drink? Is there food? And where's...er... the person in whose honour it is we're celebrating this birthday, wedding, or other social event?" He looks very serious for a moment.. "...It's not a funeral is it?"

Sands is feeling helpful for once. From his place against the wall with Jan watching over him (and anyone he's targeted tonight) he yells to Jack.

"Welcome back party for Ev!"

Sands has dressed for the occasion. He wears a powder blue prom tux. Don't ask him why.

"...I was," came Cloud's sullen reply, eyes still resolutely shut. He'd known it'd only be a matter of time before someone found him there, even with the door pointedly closed. He was only surprised that it'd been Zack, who he thought should have been preoccupied with entertaining their guests.

"Their" guests. It'd been true that Cloud had agreed to help wherever he could, which entailed his actual presence at the party. And despite Aerith's urging on top of that, Cloud had decided that he was disinclined to include himself in the festivities, just because he honestly wasn't in the mood. He'd never enjoyed parties, anyway. Hence confining himself to the bedroom, in hopes of lying undiscovered.

So much for that.

As Elena leaned back against the wall that she had managed to make her way towards, she sipped her drink and smiled lightly to herself. Zack's party was going pretty much how she expected. He certainly was popular, as was this Ev woman it would seem. Or it could have been the allure of free food and drinks. That combination of words was like using honey to catch flies.

Spotting another person with a non-alcoholic drink of some kind heading her way, Elena smirked as she slowly slipped her hand into her pants pocket. Before they even knew it, Elena had managed to flick a small pill into their drink. It was a harmless little thing really. Just a soluble capsule filled with a lightly concentrated alcohol. The results would be that drinks would be spiked, but not enough to do damage unless the person had the tolerance level of an anemic butterfly.

Raising her cup to her lips, Elena smirked as she took another sip of her drink and continued to watch the party.

Making her way through the crowd, Hal found a fellow blonde woman in a suit and made her way over to Elena.

"Quite a party..."she commented, having little reservations about talking to a perfect stranger. She took a slow sip of her mojito (which was more like straight tequila with a sprig of mint) and grinned.

Yumie might have noticed the capsule go into her beverage. And, if she had, she certainly would have said something about it. As it was, Yumiko did not notice said pill entering her drink, and said nothing, merely flashing a slight smile to as the woman as she passed her. She looked very slight bit like Heinkel.

Ex-Commodore Norrington sidled in the door a little late, (due to having to spend a good fifteen minutes removing a rather affectionate cat from his person.. he wondered what exactly Sands had been doing to it to have it cling quite so tightly when he tried to remove it from his quarters) without the slightest clue about what to expect from a party in this world. It certainly wasn't going to be tea on the veranda and Bach on the Spinet, but he hoped it wouldn't be too insane. He'd briefly wondered whether he should wear the native dress to as to look less inconspicuous, but looking round the room, that apparently wasn't going to be much of a problem.

He began to wander over to join Sands (Good God, did clothes really come in that blue here? And to think the woman whose party this is was complaining about his choice of purple) and the odd fellow in the hate he was with (and rather disturbingly close to), but was slightly put off by the entrance of Captain Sparrow who joined the party with great aplomb. Instead he found himself some kind of unidentified but alcoholic smelling drink and found a corner to lurk in.

..Dear God, was that Miss Kairi in the kitchen with those boys? How embarassing..

Uriel arrived somewhat later than most people, arms laden with fruit and bottles of his own, extremely alcoholic angel-intoxicating wine, made to an Atlantean recipe lost several millennia ago, which he placed carefully on the nearest table. Being between seven and eight foot tall made it rather easy to spot the people he recognised among the partygoers, but it also made him rather easy to spot as well. He felt terribly conspicuous, and attempted to fold his wings in as tightly as he possibly could.

Nevertheless, he could feel the good, and slightly wasted vibes floating off everyone there, and that cheered him up immensely (although not to the point of smiling, see, Uriel never ever smiles). This party was considerably better than the sci-fi convention. He had left in rather a hurry, after being congratulated six times on his "cosplay", asked who did his hair and where he got his tan, randomly hugged by a girl in a bunny suit, and had people go "What? Say that slower/in english/summarise please" a few dozen times when he asked if anyone wanted help with anything. Yes, this would be a great deal more enjoyable. He decided to go and find the man with the black hair, and the woman who never showed her face to wish them congratulations or whatever was suitable.

Then he remembered that Rosiel might show up at this party. Or Lucifer.

He shuddered.

[Fai + Anyone Else]

[identity profile] black-ginryuu.livejournal.com 2006-07-30 02:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Arriving at Zack's party a little later than fashionably late, he was nevertheless unbothered by that small detail. It just meant that he had successfully avoided that uncomfortable time when the party was just starting up and no one was drunk yet.

It was true that he had invited Fai to go with him, but he made a beeline for the alcohol table without waiting to see if he would be followed by the flighty mage. For someone who called him a unsocial grump, Fai had been hiding out a lot and Kurogane wanted to force him into a social situation, even if he had to sacrafice his own persona to do it. Passing the punch in favor of pouring himself a large glass of wine, he knocked back a big gulp before refilling it. It was then, fortified and ready to face whatever this stupid city could throw at him, that he turned to face the party.

Jan was in attendance, although otherwise occupied with Sparrow's twin, Ranmaru definitely wouldn't be coming to something like this, although the angel that had helped him out was here. It was mere coincidence that he had picked Uriel's wine out of all the other bottles of alcohol to drink down. And Zack... Well, Kurogane just had to take another drink, because he really did look like any and all of Kurogane's fuzzy memories of his father.

Well, time to lean against a wall and try not to socialize too hard.

[Just don't congratulate her on returning. Please.]

[identity profile] unbewildered.livejournal.com 2006-07-30 03:14 pm (UTC)(link)
The simple truth of it was that Evelynne had no idea what she was doing here. Sure, it was a party. Sure, Zack was throwing it. Sure, she appreciated the thought. To her though, the entire thing was a little too contrary (which might've been appropriate for where she was at the moment). A welcome back party? For her? With the whole city?

The key problems were that she didn't want to be in the city, and a welcome back party was a little short of "appropriate." Not to mention the fact that she didn't know half the city--or rather, four-fifths of the city. And likely, even less of the city knew her.

And she sort of preferred it that way. Why have everyone at a city know you when half of that city was easily labeled psychotic? Why know everyone when you didn't even want to be in a place to begin with?

Questions got her nowhere, of course. Evelynne, plunked down on a couch, was borderline brooding (except that was Amadeus' job), short of sulking (except she hated sulking). And whatever this drink was, it didn't have enough alcohol involved.

[[Flying out, so don't expect responses until way later if you're going to say anything? Wow, I've reposted this a million times.]]

The mild scent of Rooibos, rose petals, candied ginger and orange peel wafted from the tea chest that Sunny tucked carefully under one arm. With tea in one hand, a Glock 19 in the other, the assassin made a beeline for Evelynne. If Zack (or anyone else, for that matter) wanted tea, they'd have to come to her and get it.

the girl plonked down next to her neighbor without a word. Socially inept as she was, even she could see the bartender wasn't pleased, and she wasn't on a mission to add insult to injury that night.

It was with no small lack of surety that Yumiko walked into the party. This was probably a bad idea; she hadn't experience in such events. There were celebrations in the Vatican, but they were not like this, nor were the occasional gatherings among Iscariot. It never took very long before the Iscariots starting talking shop, and Yumiko would have nothing to contribute to such conversations, as she was blessedly absent while her body 'worked'.

She was pretty sure attending such a heathenish function would have been disapproved of, but she wasn't used to being by herself as much as she had been since arriving in this city, and the tick-tick-tick could drive a person out of thier mind. Both of them, even. It was enough to make coming here sound almost reasonable.

She looked down at her outfit, the same one she had worn here, there, and everywhere, or one very much like it. Maybe she shouldn't have worn the veil. Smoothing the skirt of her habit, she went to a table to acquire something non-alcoholic to drink while scanning the faces in the room. She did not see anyone who had been antagonistic to her, save perhaps the pierced Millennium vampire, who she thought had spoken to Yumie before. He would be avoided. Uriel was easily spotted; he had been throughly pleasant to her, so she thought she would say hello. Perhaps she would try to find a way to tactly inquire if Yumie had actually once put flowers in his hair.

Re: [All, references to Jan and Uriel]

[identity profile] malkuthmalakh.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
The habit, of course, made Yumiko equally as easy to spot as Uriel's height. He slipped through the crowd and appeared in front of her, raising a hand in his usual greeting.

"Hail, Daughter of Eve." He said. "Are you well?"

Sunny hadn't anticipated that Hal and Elena would follow, but this was one of the few occasions where the she would say "The more, the merrier." Even if the other women were just going for refills, Sunny could always argue that she wanted to get up and move around if Ev-san questioned her motives since she didn't drink.

Now that Ev-san was back... Sunny felt more inclined to protect her. Even though the woman probably was capable of taking care of herself, she still wanted to do something, though she wasn't very certain why.

All in all, she honestly didn't get why she had a group of women following her, when all she was doing was getting another drink. Hadn't it been obvious that she wasn't in the conversation-making mood tonight? Or did she not make enough snippy comments at people to give that impression?

She stopped for a second, a little lost in the crowd. "Wait. Where exactly are these drinks coming from? Is there a bar somewhere here?"
