Log; Ev's Welcome Back Party x) [ INCOMPLETE... forever, most likely ]
When; Today (July 29th)
Rating; Oh lord, you never know what's going to happen.
Characters; Well. The whole city if they want to join in.
Summary; Zack's throwing Ev a Returning To the City Party and, well. There's alcohol?
Note; So yeah, I decided to have one of these up anyways. So here's how it's gonna work. I'm stealing Shahni's idea with putting on the Subject Line who you want to talk to in specific. So, if you're wanting to talk to Zack, you put something like [ ATTN: Zack ] on the subject line. Pretty easy, right?
If you want to talk to just anyone and it's open and free for all, put [ ATTN: All ] on the subject line. Or something on those lines. And yeah, click "reply to this" and not "post a new comment" when you want to talk to someone in specific if the thread asks for you. It'll get confusing otherwise.
So yeah, join in if you want. If not? That's cool too, I just wanted to give the option to those who don't mind doing something random. ♥ And pls to be forgiving my intro post. I just woke up, after all.
Log;
So this whole party thing was pretty cool so far. The Host Club kids came to his place and started setting things up in the morning, and they all seemed like such good sports (and a lot of help, too) and were doing a pretty damn good job with everything so far.
Sure, there were a few... very small accidents here and there, but that was mainly Zack's fault since he didn't know where to put himself half of the time. The couch was his new best friend for the first few hours after that.
But soon things were set up and ready to go all thanks to them, and Zack had taken the liberty to give them all hugs before the flow of people started coming in.
Now while his place wasn't exactly huge, it was big enough to throw a party. And as Zack said once, if things got too crowded there was always the hallway to parade in, especially since it would just gather more attention and Zack, for one, loved attention. Especially if it involved people getting together like this and being able to meet new faces. Thus why it wasn't a small party, like, well, welcome back parties should be.
And things were finally picking up, quicker than he thought, actually. Maybe he should have thought about doing it outside, but did Zack ever take anyone's advice? Oh no. Not at all. But it wasn't overly crowded since he prodded some people outside in the hall where there were plenty things set up there as well.
Zack looked extremely pleased as violet eyes circled around towards the mini crowd he had going in and out, waving and saying loud “hello!”s over people's heads as he either passed out drinks or ran to go talk to random bits of friends here and there.

Re: [Anyone - let's not be picky]
"Ah! Now, commodore, what place would you have at such revelries, eh? I wouldn't imagine you the type for social gatherings lacking uniforms, forced pleasantries and false smiles."
Jack looks down at the cup in Norrington's hand and then grins at the man.
"Or have you simply come for free drink?"
Re: [Anyone - let's not be picky]
"Actually, your twin invited me along, but he seems rather busy, so I think the second will have to do. I may as well pass the time until I wake up from this recurring nightmare." He downed his drink and looked around. "Damn the false smiles and the forced pleasantries. I always used to avoid those silly gatherings where possible. I do miss the uniforms, though." He snapped out of his reminiscences and glared at Sparrow. "Oh, leave me be, damn your eyes. Can't a man get a moment's peace? I'm already risking life and limb to get you and your friends out, you could at least extend me the courtesy of not constantly plaguing me."
Re: [Anyone - let's not be picky]
Jack smiles and pours half the contents of his glass into Norrington's empty cup.
Jack likes talking to James. It makes him laugh, and it so often reminds him why he lives the way he does.
Re: [Anyone - let's not be picky]
"Fine. Anything for a bit of peace." He says, gesturing at Sparrow. Then he peers at the cup in his other hand. "What is this, anyway?"
Re: [Anyone - let's not be picky]
"There's another one of these gatherings coming soon enough, you know. First of August... One of my girls.." That's what he's calling them now. "..is having a birthday. Not so certain you'll want to attend as clothing shall be scarce." He raises a brow and dips his head to add to the suggestive nature of the comment. Then he laughs...because saying suggestive things around Norrington is deliciously funny.
Re: [Anyone - let's not be picky]
"You may wish the lady a Happy Birthday on my behalf, but frankly it doesn't sound a lot like my sort of soiree." He says, attempting to sound nonchalant and failing miserably.
Re: [Anyone - let's not be picky]
Oh, it is fun to see Norrington balk and sputter at every strange and lewd thing Jack can think to throw at him. He'd really quite like the man if Norrington could just get over the whole 'servant of the crown' thing and live his life outside of service and loyalty.
Re: [Anyone - let's not be picky]
Sparrow! Why did it have to be Sparrow? Sparrow was everything he despised in a man. A lewd, drunken, womanising bastard with a criminal record seven nautical miles long. The sooner he saw him dancing the hemp bolero, the happier he'd be. Being forced to fraternise with the man was absolutely insufferable. So, why in God's name was he starting to get used to having him around?
Re: [Anyone - let's not be picky]
Jack rests a hand against Norrington's chest as he leans in to convey the grave seriousness of the moment. He pulls away and shakes his head solemnly before downing the remainder of his drink in a swallow.
"Morals are dreadfully confining, aren't they?"
Re: [Anyone - let's not be picky]
"Confining? Only someone like you could possibly describe morality that way. Morality, Sparrow, is what separates us from the beasts of the field. Although what separates you from the beasts of the field is probably only one or two generations."
Re: [Anyone - let's not be picky]
"Say what you will, former Commodore, but if I am no better than an animal, at least I am one that runs free. Better that, than to be the pitiful creature so woefully mourning the loss of his harness and bridle, eh?"
Jack looks Norrington over and there's a quiet, mocking laugh under his breath.
Re: [Anyone - let's not be picky]
"All right." Said Norrington with an expansive gesture. "Show me. If your life of rum and whoring and piracy is so absolutely wonderful, prove it to me. Any way you like. Pick a tavern, a whorehouse, whatever takes your fancy. Consider it a challenge. And I'll even be lenient, since you have only the contents of this place to choose from. The next time I'm consigned to this mad place again, of course, that should give you time to think."
Re: [Anyone - let's not be picky]
"Fine. When next your sleep brings you to this darling little city, I assure you the finest dream you've ever had. You must do your part and not refuse the enjoyment offered. ... And I'll not be held to this promise, should the City be cursed at the time."
Re: [Anyone - let's not be picky]
Shortly afterwards he actually thought about what he had just agreed to. Well, a challenge was a challenge. And he was supposed to be in a state of truce with Sparrow.
Re: [Anyone - let's not be picky]
Jack gives a shallow, mocking bow and a smug grin before heading on his way to turn his
harassmentattentions to others.
