Summary; Tea Party at Kabuto's
Log;
Kabuto frowned down at himself for the hundredth time. For some reason his shirt was missing, all of his shirts were missing. Why it happened today, he didn't know, but he was going to try and not let it interfere.

He had spent most of the previous day, and all of that morning preparing for having guests over. He had made cakes, cookies, pies, dango, sandwiches and all sorts of snacks, as well as prepared the tea (also picked up the milk and orange juice). Once everything was ready to his liking, he had started moving the food to the balcony, having set up a table and chairs out there.

Honestly, Kabuto had no idea how many people would be showing up, this could end up being a small event. Even so, he had done what he could to make sure there was enough for those he knew would be arriving shortly, and whoever else might be showing up.

He examined his handy work one last time; satisfied with what he saw, he returned to the inside of his apartment, waiting for guests to arrive.

Edit: Put who the comment is directed at in the subject, if it doesn't have one anyone can say something or hear what is said.

Tayuya threw her hair back over her shoulder with a rather unladylike snort. "Good afternoon." She grit out. She figured she'd let Kimimaro tell Kabuto they'd moved in down the hall. Later.

She heard his voice as they passed by him into the apartment, ignoring it. Well, she wasn't ignoring it, she had survival instincts, but she acted as if she heard nothing. She instead made sure to keep checking on those tunic flaps every thirty seconds.

Kimimaro walked past Kabuto with a simple inclination of the head. "Kabuto-sensei. I see you are... well." It looked like he wouldn't be the only one walking around in... unconventional attire.

He also made sure Tayuya saw the look back he gave to reinforce Kabuto's aside, despite her constant looking down. I have not the time nor leisure to deal with your tomfoolery today. "... Ah. Have we arrived early?"

Shizune, to be perfectly frank, was not pleased to see either Tayuya nor Kimimaro. But she put on the biggest smile she could offer, a faint twitch in the corner of her mouth, and turned to greet them. If this turned into some sort of truce negotiation she needed to have been cordial.

"Tayuya... Kimimaro..." She nodded her head to each. "We've never met, but I've heard a lot about you."

... He was starting to see, perhaps, why Kabuto-sensei had organized a tea-party of all things--the doctor was eminently fond of entertainment of certain varieties, and the half-nerved smile on Shizune's face fitted neatly into one of them. Then again, the Sound had to have something in common with one another.

Politeness covering menace like a cloak where he'd been glaring at his subordinate a moment ago, Kimimaro sank into a slight bow, curving a quelling hand on the snake at his neck. "Please to make your acquaintance. I've heard much made of your abilities in medical ninjutsu." Frankly, if she weren't in the entourage of one of the sannin, he'd never have given her a second glance.

Tayuya watched Kimimaro fake that ugh, godforsaken polite bow and she rolled her eyes under the cover of moving a strand of hair. She waited till Kimimaro was done pretending to be nice before she said anything.

"I'm sure you have." She said, one hand on her hip and the other fiddling idly with her flute. "I won't say it's nice to meet you. It's not. But since we're not here to kill each other, hello."

Shizune bowed a bit in return to Kimimaro, her eyes watching the snake that brought her mind back to Orochimaru. At least he wasn't here. She nodded to Tayuya. She actually preffered the honesty in that statement to the malice veiled beneath Kimimaro.

She heard the knock at the door and seized it. "Kabuto, I'm sure, will see that you're served. I'll get the door."

"Got orange juice?" Tayuya immediately asked. She hadn't had a glass in a long time, and she'd never liked tea. Too calm of a drink for her.

Kimimaro had already made a discreet beeline for the milk; now he turned from where he was holding the pitcher over a half-full glass and tilted his head, a glittering reptile gaze paralleling his own. "Thank you, sensei... Will you be wanting anything?"

"I'll stick with the orange juice." Tayuya muttered, walking over and pouring herself a glass. She raised an eyebrow at the snake on Kimimaro. Weirdo. On instinct, she sniffed the glass for hints of poison. Sensing nothing, she downed the glass.
