Log: ongoing
When; 3 p.m. August 16
Rating; Depends on what happens
Characters; Open
Summary; Tea Party at Kabuto's
Log;
Kabuto frowned down at himself for the hundredth time. For some reason his shirt was missing, all of his shirts were missing. Why it happened today, he didn't know, but he was going to try and not let it interfere.
He had spent most of the previous day, and all of that morning preparing for having guests over. He had made cakes, cookies, pies, dango, sandwiches and all sorts of snacks, as well as prepared the tea (also picked up the milk and orange juice). Once everything was ready to his liking, he had started moving the food to the balcony, having set up a table and chairs out there.
Honestly, Kabuto had no idea how many people would be showing up, this could end up being a small event. Even so, he had done what he could to make sure there was enough for those he knew would be arriving shortly, and whoever else might be showing up.
He examined his handy work one last time; satisfied with what he saw, he returned to the inside of his apartment, waiting for guests to arrive.
Edit: Put who the comment is directed at in the subject, if it doesn't have one anyone can say something or hear what is said.

"Kabuto." She said in a form of greeting, looking about at the final product. It really was nice, as she hadn't seen it since she'd finished helping a bit last night. She didn't know how many people would show, but she did hope the people from Konoha outweighed the number from Sound and Akatsuki.

"You too, it seems." She looked about. "I do hope others will not be showing up semi-nude. Or nude either, for that matter. What a horrible coincidence that the curse would be today."

It was hardly pleasant, but nothing a proper shinobi couldn't take, and although Tayuya fidgeting with her uniform was amusing--the little devil had never looked so uncomfortable without his threatening her--it was also unnecessary. "I hope you will try to look a little more composed in front of Konoha," he noted as they waited.

Kabuto stepped aside and held open the door; lowering his voice as the two of them passed so only they would hear him, "Don't harass my roommates."

She heard his voice as they passed by him into the apartment, ignoring it. Well, she wasn't ignoring it, she had survival instincts, but she acted as if she heard nothing. She instead made sure to keep checking on those tunic flaps every thirty seconds.

She consoled herself with the thought that it was better than before as she turned back to face the door. "Better get this over with..." The kunoichi mumbled to herself as she knocked politely on the door.

"Tenten, Neji." She said, opening the door wider. She shot a look behind her without moving her head to let them know of the prescense of part of the Sound Five. "Come in, come in. It's good to see you."

"I'm not sure how long we'll be here for, Shizune-san. But I hope it will be enjoyable." She winked merrily, glad to be doing something that didn't require spending any period of time underground fighting the smelly slow monster things.

"Konnichiwa..." He said, walking in, finally. "At least I found something to...." At this moment, he looked down at himself, noticing something was not quite right. As he had taken a stride, he did not feel the familiar brush of the bedsheet around his legs. It was at this moment he noticed that the bedsheet had gone the way of his other garments...to that place where left socks go when you place them in the dryer..to the land of nonexistance. "Well, I had found something, un. But it seems to have disappeared as well..."

"What the hell-" Shizune covered her mouth at the explitive. Blood rushed to her face and she turned about abruptly, averting her eyes.
no subject
"Shizune-sensei, it's good to see you..."
As she walked over, a glance at the couch... and the stark-naked Deidara... caused her to completely lose all speech ability. Her pearlescent eyes widened, their blanched colour even more noticable in the sudden bright red colour of her face. With a startled gasp, she quickly turned her face away.

"Is there something wrong, Kabuto-sen..." The words trailed off once the center of all the gawking attention came into full view, and he hastened to avert his eyes and take a gulp of his drink, masking the fleeting pink in his cheeks. Well. It wasn't everyday you met one of the respectable Akatsuki... quite like that.

And promptly spit it back out.
"THE FUCK?!"

I would be so embarassed if Nejinii-san saw me like this...
She pulled her arms away from her body for a moment, studying the very thin white robe she wore. She felt her cheeks burn as she remembered why she was so embarassed. She had woken up this morning and found that everything that had once been UNDER the robe had vanished... With a gulp, she took a deep breath and reached up to knock on the door.

"Oh, it's you, I remember you from the chuunin exams, how's your heart?" This was the girl, turned woman, who had had her heart damaged by the boy the girl with the buns had dragged with her. "Please come in, and I appologize for everyone's state of undress, curse days tend to make strange things happen." He lowered his voice, "A word of warning, one of the guests has been effected in the extreme."
no subject
"W..who are you? H..how...what do you mean, about my heart?"
She took a step backwards slightly, extremely un-nerved by his seeming familiarity with her.

"He's... in the dreaded Akatsuki?"
no subject
"I'm not so sure about dreaded, but yes, they are notorious. He seems to be the only one in the city so far, unless they've gone underground." He had still not dismisssed that particular possibility, which was why he'd been so willing to discuss the matter of the 'sabbuwei' and guidance with Deidara.

"I wouldn't put it past the fuckers. Orochimaru-sama made it sound like they were good at laying low and all that shit." She took a drink from her glass, watching the other guests out of the corner of her eye, a reflex and habit. A good one, for a shinobi to exercise.
