Log: ongoing
When; 3 p.m. August 16
Rating; Depends on what happens
Characters; Open
Summary; Tea Party at Kabuto's
Log;
Kabuto frowned down at himself for the hundredth time. For some reason his shirt was missing, all of his shirts were missing. Why it happened today, he didn't know, but he was going to try and not let it interfere.
He had spent most of the previous day, and all of that morning preparing for having guests over. He had made cakes, cookies, pies, dango, sandwiches and all sorts of snacks, as well as prepared the tea (also picked up the milk and orange juice). Once everything was ready to his liking, he had started moving the food to the balcony, having set up a table and chairs out there.
Honestly, Kabuto had no idea how many people would be showing up, this could end up being a small event. Even so, he had done what he could to make sure there was enough for those he knew would be arriving shortly, and whoever else might be showing up.
He examined his handy work one last time; satisfied with what he saw, he returned to the inside of his apartment, waiting for guests to arrive.
Edit: Put who the comment is directed at in the subject, if it doesn't have one anyone can say something or hear what is said.

"Give me a moment, un.. And I will show you my art." He turned, walking toward the door, opening it, and leaning upon the doorframe before moving completely through. "And I promise, girl, it will be more interesting than 'homo shit', un." With this, he disappeared into the hallway.

"Why do I need ducking finesse if I get the job done anyway?" She frowned. "Or are my attacks not pretty enough for you?

Deidara grinned, raising his hand high, as the bird flittered its bantam wings, moving into the air. It glided through the crowd, eventually settling upon the snack table, looking about, head twitching from side to side, as if deciding upon something. Hopping nimbly across the table, it jumped up upon one of the pies, its minature eyes turning to Deidara, as it pecked softly at the pie's crust. Deidara's grin turned from one amused, to something thick with sadism, the darkness permeating his entire visage. He threw his hands into a seal, staring down at the bird, as his lips formed a word steeped in silence.
"Kai."
Precipitously, but not at all without ceremony, the bird vanished into a ball of explosion, taking the pastry with it, splashing its contents in a colorful spray across the walls and inhabitants around it with a bright bang. Deidara's face showed accomplishment, as he spoke, not even turning to face the two sound nin, as he surveyed his work. "Geijutsu wa bakuhatsu da.. True art, un."

He was so taken with the unanimal that he almost missed the display Deidara made with his seal, flamboyant as it was, the malice shining behind the raised hands carefully sealed into Kimimaro's memory as a reminder of the measure of this opponent that he'd glimpsed--albeit incomplete. A moment later all sound ceased within the apartment in a muffled sort of way--product of the aftershocks of the explosion as well as the state in which it had left everything.
After a moment, Kimimaro raised a pie-covered finger to his lips in half-feigned nonchalance, and licked the digit clean with calm movements. "Interesting," he allowed, "but that little display was hardly worthy of the term 'art'--I'd hope that with such tools you could fashion much finer things." It was a concession that he'd seen the potential of the other's jutsu, but a challenge also, calculated in precise words.

"Hmmm..." She looked down after the small explosion, wiping what seemed to be pie filling from her bare upper thigh. She had a small smile on her face at the idea of what that could do if that bird had landed on someone's head. Oh, it was a good technique. The whole... art thing she wasn't so sure of, but if that's what you want to call a nice technique, then damn, so be it.
"Nice." She said, the only word she uttered, wondering if Kimimaro himself might be taking her usual job and pushing a bit too far.

"I'll lick the fucking pie off the ceiling if he licks it off the floor. I wasn't the only one encouraging him!"

He turned to Deidara, "I asked you before not to make any "art" in my apartment. Is a memeber of the Akatsuki too good to comply with a simple request?" He arched an eyebrow at the blond, no longer in the mood for games. He didn't want to start a fight, but he wasn't going to tolerate anything esle of this nature.

Such a reaction...it's so...Hinata-sama..., he mused before finally settling on walking over to her, to comfort her.

"If you'd rather, I'll take you back to my place. No explosions, and no naked Akatsuki. Promise~" She added with a cheerful grin, even as she eyed up the two sound nins. Was it her, or did they look somewhat... excited at the explosion?

"That might be for the best." Shizune said to Tenten, trying to ignore that her entire back was coated in... pie. She crouched down next to the three Konoha ninja and lowered her voice so that it could barely be heard. She a bit thankful for Hinata's crying, as it masked her voice even better.
"I'll stay here and keep watch on Kabuto, see what he's up to. You three get settled, I'll try and contact you later."

She gave Hinata a gentle push towards the door after helping her stand, with one last look in Kabuto's direction and a small wave for Shizune. It looked like her position of neutrality in the city was going to be broken fairly soon...
Not that she minded too much. She grinned again, leading the two Hyuuga's back to building 6, wondering if she'd be able to find enough in the way of weapons to suit her preferences.
