Log;
On the biggest table in the largest hall of the Opera was a large array of foods and drinks, all spread out on a long white cloth. And in the center stood two cakes, side by side.
Fakir leaned off to the side by the wall, arms crossed and his serious expression contrasting the cheerful white and yellow streamers and balloons that adorned the enclosure. He wasn't really looking forward to enduring the noisy and social gathering that was about to ensue, but this had been what Ahiru wanted to experience. And even if he wanted nothing more than to slink off somewhere alone, he had a duty to be present...and protect the Opera residents, if necessary.
Not that he wasn't also curious as to how the redhead would react when she finally arrived. The Host Club had certainly put a lot of work into this, for which he was grateful. The ex-knight didn't have much knowledge about parties and the like, but they certainly seemed to have outdone themselves. He wished he could have done more, but anything in a normal social life was pretty much alien to him.
Fakir sighed, crossing one leg across the other--and winced when his foot came in contact with something. The culprit--a plastic pink bird-- toppled to the floor and he scowled at it.
Really. Weren't the pink flamingos a bit much? Ahiru liked birds well enough, but the damn things were everywhere.
[ ooc: This can be comment logged or action post logged, whichever you prefer! (I did an action post part above, but don't feel like you have to do the same if you want to go the simple route.) ♥ I didn't elaborate too much on what the Host Club prepared, since I didn't have anything too clear, so feel free to do so yourselves if you wish, HC members! And if there's anything I need to change/edit, do let me know. Thank you! ]

"Ah, no, it was a surprise for me! But I think Tamaki did the decorations. He's in the Host Club."
((OOC: ...I agree. Tamaki and Femio must meet.))

((OOC: Yes, yes they do. XD I'm going to sleep in a minute though... the muse wants to ruffle Fakir's feathers a little bit, and then I'm off. Backlog this later?))

((OOC: Sure, that's fine! <3 Pique and Rue are having to backlog, too. Sleep well! Oh, and your Femio is freaking awesome and I love you, BTW. ♥))
no subject
((OOC: DON'T TELL HIM, OR HE WILL NEVER LEAVE AHIRU ALONE AND FAKIR WILL HAVE TO KILL HIM. XD And thank you, BTW. I'm having way too much fun playing him. ♥ ))

That was a very unfortunate predicament Femio found himself in. He couldn't leave her...it was her birthday, and as a rightful prince, it was his duty to make her happy...but he couldn't choose one girl over another! How cruel that would be!
Think, Femio, think! There must be a way to reconcile these goals! You must prove yourself a worthy prince... and not break too many hearts in the process!

((OOC: Gosh, the muse is more persistent than I thought. XD))

((OOC: XD But so....so perfect.))

"So... where shall we begin?"

But she was gone, lost in the crowd of people. He had failed, yet again, all due to this cursed body of his!
"Oh, Heaven! Is this your true will? Your punishment? Am I never meant to gain the love of a pure and beautiful maiden such as she?"
But then again... she had said... that there were other worthy princesses here as well, had she not? It was his duty to find them as well!
It made sense now... She had sacrificed her own happiness so that he could fulfill his purpose, to atone for his sins! He smiled in the direction where she disappeared. "Truly, I am not worthy of such goodness!"

The ex-knight pointed a finger sharply toward the door, not even attempting to mask the unpleasant expression from his face. He had been standing by too long, brooding over the whole unfolding situation. And he'd had about as much of this idiot as he could take. "Now leave."
[ ooc: Sorry about the late reply. I was gone all of Sunday. And now I'm kind of...dealing with something.
Which might warrant a haitus of some sort.My apologies for any problems. ]no subject
"I fail to see how that was a choice. And I will leave her alone for the rest of the evening. I have the manners of a gentleman, unlike others I could mention."
He walked towards the door, fully intending to sneak back in later. No one was going to rain on his parade.
((OOC: No problem. <3 Hope it's nothing too serious.))

flirting withbothering her any further." He paused for a moment, considering how to put his situation with Ahiru in terms the so-called 'prince' would understand. "I'm...courting that girl. So stay away from her."And he was glad his face was turned in the opposite direction, as he could already feel the heat inflaming it. Damn that frivolous idiot for making him say silly words!
[ ooc: AKA, Fakir's way of attempting to politely say: "Back off, bitch! She's mine!" *shot* ]

"Well then...may the best man win."
((OOC: Femio's way of saying, "suuuuuure she is" <3 lol))

He must have heard that wrong. There was no way that stupid womanizer had just seriously challenged him. One of Fakir's hands clasped into a fist at his side. What did it take to get through that boy's goddamn thick skull?
...No. It didn't matter. There was no threat. He didn't know a damn thing about Ahiru to begin with---much less what she really was. And what kind of competition was some guy that couldn't keep his eyes off of every woman in a twenty foot radius? Hmph.
Nonetheless, he was still an annoyance. And it was obvious that he made Ahiru uncomfortable. If he crossed any more lines, then Fakir would deal with him. But for now, the dark-haired writer contented himself with knowing what the poor excuse for a prince didn't.
"You lost before you even started."
[ ooc: Fakir says, "Hah. Competition? That's a laugh." ]
