Log; Completed
When; Monday, May 12 (evening)
Rating; PG-13
Characters; Toshiko Sato
warped_inside and Ianto Jones
king_coffee
Summary; Two cursed Torchwood members walk into a bar.
Log;
"You know what I think is great about this, is that it's just actually nice to go out to a place like this and not being chasing Blowfish or bloody arrogant Time Agents."
Tosh's shopping trip had been successful, if one judged from the very tight leather skirt (not a mini, but that slit up the back was just bare inches from scandalous) and the very low-cut blue blouse (she was taking Ianto's suggestion about cleavage seriously). The always-present computer satchel? Nowhere in sight.

The guy's on the floor, groaning, and for Ianto that's enough. He's not going to hit a man while he was down, that would be wrong.
Despite that, though, two men grab him and drag him back, one saying "Hey, c'mon now, that's enough!" he doesn't fight against them, though.

"Oi, let go!" she yelled, giving the man hauling her away a light shove, but one more calculated to free herself than to try and start up any further fights. "You all right, Ianto?"
no subject
Bah, his stomach hurt, but he wasn't going to tell Tosh that.
He held up his hands in a passive gesture and he was released. "I'm fine babe, and you?" He raised an eyebrow at the man holding Tosh, a warning gesture that he should let her go.

"I'm good. Wasted a perfectly nice drink, though. Pushy bastard."
She looked up at Ianto, trying so hard to look contrite for their audience instead of just grinning, but it probably showed in her eyes. "Wanna dance?"
no subject
Who lay on the floor groaning.
Hey, he wasn't going to leave this bar just because some arsehole decided to get a little grabby!
no subject
Like hell they were going to let themselves be kicked out! Wasn't their fault the other patrons didn't know how to behave.
"I owe you for that," she murmured, as they moved off.
no subject
Hell no, this was Ianto's favourite bar! Well, joint favourite. With a few others.
"Naw," he murmured back, "I had fun."
no subject
"You were fantastic. I haven't had this much fun in ages. Are they going to let you sing? Or did we ruin your chances for that?"
She tapped Ianto's arm to get him to give her a hand hopping up onto the barstool. Those things were not set at a height useful to small women in tight skirts.
no subject
Then again they could always move to another bar.
And give her a hand he did, a gentleman in disguise. A really good disguise.
no subject
"Well, I'll treat you to another round and then we can dance a bit, and then maybe we can go and see what other places we can almost get ourselves kicked out of."
She gave him a bright smile for the help. Really, all those people telling her to take it easy and stay home and blah blah whatever? Wet blankets, the lot of them.
no subject
"Oi, I said I'd buy you one," he said, flapping his hand at the barman - who gave a long-suffering sigh - with a grin. "But me one later yeah?"
And being a little bit of a party boy himself? Ianto wasn't going to tell Tosh to stay home.
no subject
"Deal. I'll buy a round at the next place. Got to keep you happy if you're going to sing something for me anyway, yeah?"
At least they were out together, which gave them each someone to feel a little responsible for. Probably kept them both from getting into even more trouble.
no subject
"Sounds good!" And with that, he ordered a drink for himself and Tosh, and gave the barman quite a nice tip. Never a bad thing to have the bar staff on your side when you're Ianto.
It was a two way thing. Either they got each other into trouble or kept each other out of it.
no subject
"Have we ever been out dancing together?" she mused. "I mean, we've known each other how long? And I think this is the first time."
no subject
"Nah, man, never. Let's change that, yeah?"
no subject
"Yeah, let's. Bet you're a fantastic dancer."
no subject
Nah.
"Wanna try me?"
no subject
"Didn't I already?" Tosh teased, finishing off her drink and holding out her arms for Ianto to help her down.
no subject
And help her down he did, with a grin. "Not craving a little more?"
no subject
Tosh had no doubts he'd be a good dancer, but she liked to tease. She especially liked to tease Ianto, because she knew he wouldn't take it to heart.
no subject
Which was true. People often found that there was no point insulting Ianto, it was just like water off a duck's back.
no subject
Really, she knew she probably shouldn't be playing so easy with Ianto. After all, he was kind of Jack's. But he was so much fun, and he wasn't likely to get weird and possessive on her.
no subject
Yeah but Tosh was like a friends with benefits thing. Jack was way more involved than that.
no subject
"Anyway, I've promised to give Tony a call after we get back tonight." The implications in that were probably obvious.
no subject
And he was grateful that Tosh didn't poke him in the belly. Still not quite recovered, there!
"Better not get back too late, then, yeah?" Ianto understood.
