And she'd have understood if an emergency had kept Tony away -- saving lives was more important than a party. She was very pleased to have him there, though.

"I bet you could come up with some real good ones."

"Come and mingle with me. There's food and cake, and Ianto says there'll be dancing, and karaoke once people get drunk enough."
no subject
"But you're right; food, cake, and dancing all sound great."
no subject
"I notice you left out the karoake bit," she teased, leading him toward where the food was set out.

"Could you imagine how much more people would hate me if they found out on top of all my other talents I could sing as well?"
no subject
"You make a very good point. I'd hate to have to start shooting people in order to keep them away, once they realized that on top of being brilliant, handsome, and powerful, you were a fantastic singer."
no subject
"There are a lot of people here, Tosh. You have a lot of friends."
no subject
"I really do, don't I? I had no idea. It's amazing."
no subject
Tony looked out over the group of people and shook his head. "I don't know that it's all that amazing. You're an incredible person, anyone would be lucky to be your friend."
no subject
She laughed softly, blushing a little but giving Tony a cheeky grin. "Obviously London and Cardiff are just filled with unlucky people then. Come have some cake, Ianto got my absolute favorite and it's delicious."
no subject
Tony smiled at her blush, it was really very adorable when she did that. "I know, all those people missing out, they must be crushed."

Tosh tugged him along toward the cake, or what remained of it, since she'd been pimping it out to people all evening. She snagged a bit of the whipped cream off the edge with her finger and held it up for Tony to have a taste.
Yeah, okay, it was just whipped cream. That wasn't really the point though, was it?
no subject
"That's some very good frosting there," he said, smirking.
no subject
"Glad you like it," she murmured. "Maybe there'll be some left over to take home."
no subject
"Now what was this you said about drinking and karaoke?"
no subject
"Ishiah's got the bar open. But I thought you said you didn't sing," she teased.

no subject
"I suppose if you asked me to, though, I might do it."
no subject
"Oh no, I'm not. Because then you have every right to ask the same of me and expect me to sing."
no subject
Tosh pretended to look disappointed, although she had no intention of trying to talk Tony into singing if he didn't want to. "Well, if you put it like that, I wouldn't want to force you to do something just because you'd feel obligated. Why don't we just go get ourselves a drink and see what happens when the first brave soul decides to drag the karaoke machine out?"
no subject
Tony nodded his agreement. Not that alcohol had much of an affect on him (which was the only reason he touched) it was a good social activity.
"Maybe I should do a song. Would Iron Man by Black Sabbath be cliche? I love that song."
no subject
Tosh looked up with an expression of surprise and curiosity, and laughed softly. "I don't think it would be cliche at all. And I'll bet you have a really nice singing voice."
no subject
"Maybe someday you can find out if that's the case."
no subject
"You could always sing for me in private," Tosh suggested. "Which reminds me, we'll have to see if Ishiah will let me borrow the piano after hours sometime. I have a song to play for you."
