Summary; It's Tony's first real Thanksgiving and Eden is cooking so naturally he's invited the whole city to crowd into the apartment.

It had started out as just a nod to the holidays, like it usually was back in Vancouver when Tony didn't really know anyone to have Thanksgiving with (Zev was Jewish, Amy was...well, Amy) and Henry, of course, couldn't eat a turkey which was the whole point of the holiday in the first place. He'd had turkey sandwiches with cranberry sauce and bought a pumpkin pie from the bakery and watched movies until it was late enough to call Henry and have some company. This year was different.

Automatically, it was different because he was in the City, but it was also different because Tony had friends. And friends who could cook, no less! And Victory was here and not a vampire and thus could sit at a dinner table and not growl at Henry when he came over. So Tony was excited and had probably bought too many cans of vegetables and sticks of butter but that was okay.

He just hoped he had enough plate settings.

[ooc: If your character is a friend of Tony's feel free to assume he invited you to Thanksgiving. Since I, myself, am hosting Thanksgiving at the moment, I probably won't be able to respond to threads until later tonight but feel free to have characters mingle!]

"Ah." Henry nodded, well-acquainted with similar feelings. "Then I am glad of his presence, even if he's eying me as though he'd like to put a knife in my spleen."

Promise took another look at Niko and smiled ruefully at Henry. "Niko's a bit overprotective sometimes, a long, personal story, but he's just worried about me. Another reason I like having him around."

"You're very fortunate."

Her tone softened, "I am. I sometimes wonder if I deserve him."

Promise shook herself, it really wasn't polite party conversation. "And you, how do you and Tony know Victoria?"

"She was conducting a murder investigation." Henry's attention was drawn to Vicki again as he spoke, voice made distant with memories. "The tabloids blamed a vampire. I blamed a vampire. Our paths crossed. By then, she had seen too much of the truth for me to lie to her. I didn't want to in any case. I had been lonely, pretending to be human with everyone I met for so long." He shook himself out of the revery. "Tony knew her long before I did, but you should ask him for that story."

"It's quite the relief, isn't it? To be with those that know what you are?"

"So it is. There are days when I wonder how we survive the interrim." Because for Henry, there is no security of family, only the surety that everyone he cares about will be taken from him, in death or in coming to his life.

Promise smiled, it was something she'd thought of often. "We survive on the power of memories and our own stubborn natures."
