Log; Ongoing; Closed
When; December 19th, Saturday
Rating; Maybe PG-13-ish
Characters;
starfleet_pimp and
feralside
Summary; Sometimes the best solution to big problems is to leave the area for a bit and go camping.
Log;
Getting out of the City proper was a good idea, best idea someone could have suggested actually. Shalimar was grateful that Kirk actually didn't mind the outdoors, staying around a bunch of people would have really gotten to her right now. At least she'd gotten most of her anger and sadness out last night, that was something, even if her method had left her looking a bit beaten up. But that was one of the nice things about being around Kirk, he wouldn't make a big deal about her being slightly injured, which made it easier to relax a bit.
Not that her mind didn't wander to what had happened yesterday, it did. Even as they walked together looking for a good camping spot her mind was somewhere else, trying to suppress a bunch of different instincts and thoughts that were driving her nuts. So she walked in silence hoping that he'd say something to snap her attention away from the crap going on right now.

"It's getting cold," Kirk said, pulling his coat tighter around him. "I hate the cold. At least it's not an ice planet. I really hate ice planets."

"Don't be a baby," she said, trying not to laugh. "What were you doing on an ice planet anyway?"

"Then not too long after I saw my Spock, I like him beat the crap out of me."
no subject
"You let someone beat the crap out of you?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "Maybe I shouldn't let you lead after all."

Kirk couldn't help but grin more. "Some people don't heal up nearly as quickly or as nicely as others."

She glared. "You should learn."
no subject
He arched an eyebrow. "You mean learn to heal faster?"
