Summary; Tony promised Reinette dinner with him and his wife (Scotch) and then Jarvis opened his big mouth and mentioned Tony's cooking so he has his first house guest
Log;

The amount of time Tony had spent cooking was was obscene. He'd started around lunch and made the goat cheese salads. Then the dessert--Tiramsu and finally the entree, shrimp capricco. He'd purposely tried to steer away from French food.

Reinette is the first guest Tony has had to his beach house. It's still not entirely decorated but he's paid Natasha overtime to get it at least halfway there. The living room where he's set up a small table is mostly done, minus some of the smaller touches. All in all, he's settling in rather nicely.

"JARVIS, let me know when she arrives. I'm going to change," Tony says as he heads upstairs toward the mostly unfinished bedroom.

Of course, Mr. Stark.

Integrating JARVIS into the house had been his first priority once he'd found the place.

She stands, slipping her arm in his. "It is a wonder you do not share the beach with many others. I myself consider moving my home out here."

She smiles, imagining for a moment the TARDIS parked on the beach, with Tony as her neighbor. "I think the distance from the City might be what I find most attractive; the City can grow quite overwhelming at times. Such is the disadvantage of being from a less technologically-advanced world, I suppose."

"A generous offer, indeed, but it tends toward the inappropriate. I can think of at least two people who would be displeased by such an arrangement." Of course the Doctor wouldn't be too pleased with her shacking up with another man, but then there was the matter of Romana.

"It is not your assistant about whom I am concerned. Know that I am not ungrateful in the slightest; I only wish to maintain decorum. Know also that I am nothing short of grateful for your offer. If I am ever in need of a foundation," she says, hearkening back to their first conversation, "rest assured that you will be the first person I call upon."

"Excellent point." Reinette slips her arm out of his, bending slightly at the waist to unfasten her shoes. "It would have been quite difficult treading sand in heeled shoes."

"It is not an activity I necessarily recommend," she says with a laugh. She walks arm-in-arm with him down the beach, using her free hand to pull her skirts up just a bit. Without her shoes, the hem would drag in the sand, and she's more concerned about tripping than the dirtying of her dress. "I still cannot believe this is my first visit to the shore. Perhaps you should not have invited me out here; now you may never be rid of me!"

"Then I suppose I should get my fill of your company now, for after this you shall never invite me back. Quite the shame; I will have to find someone else's company to abuse."

She smiles excitedly up at him. She thinks it could go either way at this point; his questions haven't really led anywhere, but he's an incredibly bright man. "Ah, the moment we have all been waiting for. What is your guess?"

"Well, I should not like to incite a feud between the two of you," she laughs.

"Your guess is correct, but lacks a few rather necessary details. They are the same man, indeed, from different points in time. But if I may hearken back to the question of their physical differences- They are the same man, you see, but look nothing alike. The one from the most recent point of time appears younger, even. To explain why would probably be beyond my privileges, I think. However, if you were ever to divine it yourself, or ask either one of them..."

Reinette nods at the word "conundrum," recalling her meeting with the Eleventh Doctor. She knew already about the Doctor's regeneration habit, but to see the two of them in the same place- It was still a lot to wrap her head around.

"Only one dinner? I believe our wager involved a week's worth of evenings, spent however the winner wished. Oh, how you shall suffer with my company for an entire week."

"I shall have to plan these days carefully, so as to torture you as much as possible." She pauses a moment to consider her words, and then laughs. "I think I should never say those words again. How cruel I sound."

Unfortunately for Tony, the sexual reference goes right over her head. "I should like to think I do not come off half as cruel as that," she says with a laugh. "Unless you are of the opinion that such things are less torturous than a few more nights of dinner and dancing."

She is silent for a moment, considering his words. What did he mean by- She thinks it better, perhaps, not to ask. "I think I shall have to get creative and choose some activities other than dinner and dancing. And ones that also do not involve leather or whips for that matter," she adds with a laugh. "I have made my winnings fairly and intend to make the most of them. And I feel we should waste no opportunity in a world such as this one, when there are so many wonders to see. Ah- Perhaps we should make a trip to Xanadu; I hear it is quite beautiful this time of year."
