LOG: ONGOING [The Ark]

When; Sept. 29, all day and night!
Rating; PG-13 at most?
Characters; OPEN
Summary; The biggest storm you've ever seen has just broken out across the City. Water everywhere. But don't worry, if you were at the construction site chances are you're on the boat so it's time to get cozy with your neighbors in your new home. Who's 'in charge' you wonder? Well [Bad username or site: tharheblows title= @ livejournal.com] is--as your arkmaster, captain, and host. He's steering that ship into safety for all of you and has only one thing to say to those who've chosen to stay behind in the City: SUCKAS
Log;

[ooc: Here is the log taking place on the ark for all participating characters! Feel free to log whatever you'd like while the ship is at sea weathering the storm. Label threads accordingly for open interaction, group interaction, what have you. And remember, the City is not being washed away (although the view from the ark would be unclear) and network devices will work the same as they always do. Further information on the ark curse can be found here. We hope you all have fun ♥

Her mouth is parted to say something but nothing happens at first, her intentions all quite good but the manifestation of them falling short as she opts for a short nod and a small smile to buy herself another moment, her heels clipping hollowly against the floorboards as she finally pauses to Penny's right.

"I can't help but wonder, you know, if...if this is like...the other things," very specific, she almost sighs at herself. The word 'curse' once only synonymous with a swear still seems predominantly unreal to her as anything else--anything supernatural. "...Then the City will have an ark for no reason." It is meant as a joke but for the most part the tuck of her hands under her elbows and the catch of her lip under her teeth makes it awkward. So she reverts again to focusing on Penny instead of trying to say anything from her own vantage, which frightens her too much anyway. "You seem very," a pause, "...optimistic. I admire that."

And she does, more than she can say.

It takes Penny a moment to puzzle out what Emma's saying--a fact that has nothing to do with her interest in Emma's shoes, which are exceedingly adorable. She doesn't have much of an answer to offer. "Maybe the ark has a reason." Penny unconsciously fiddles with the ends of her messy hair and adds, "I've been here for... a while. I don't know how long. But every time something big like this happens, I wonder what it's all for. Like... what if the City's a giant game, and the deities're trying to pull together all of these pieces? Arks, people, spaceships..."

She shrugs the thoughts away. Penny's not much of one for theorizing, and Emma's bringing the conversation right back around to her. "Well... thank you," she replies, smiling down at the floorboards. "I don't know if it's something to admire so much as just one of those things that people don't have any control of, though. ...I mean, you seem really practical without even trying. I couldn't be practical if I tried. So... mutual admiration."
