[OPEN]

Who: Everyone!
What: Drinking!
When: March 3rd
Where: The Blue Light
Rating: Let's say R (I'll edit if... things happen)

Note(s): Party time!  Tag all over the place, threadjack, make new friends, forget new drinking buddies--have fun!

There are a number of bars in the City.  The Blue Light is one of the busier ones and, on the weekends, it's at its busiest.

This Saturday is no exception.  Drinking, dancing, flirting--if it's legal, it's happening (and if it's questionably legal, it's probably happening more discretely; this is one of the nicer bars the City has to offer, after all).  Whether you're a social drinker on a night out with your friends, a hardcore partier who habitually clears your Sunday schedule, or just there to drink the last of the desert away, you'll be in good company.

Then Edmund and Amory have opposing ideas on how to live. Silence and peace are everything to him, but that's coming from someone who has never had to grow up with the cacophony of siblings.

"If you don't mind the noise, then I say go ahead. We have enough storage room," he replies, "The moment you move, I bet they'll return."
wandbreaker: (Edmund - is this Narnia?)

"You won't mind helping me move things? It won't be much."

It might be an attempt to make a friend, but not a close one. Edmund doesn't think that Amory is interesting in that sort of friendship.

There's natural apprehension that follows Edmund's inquiry, and it takes the space of topping off a drink for Amory to reply. But this is Peter's brother, and the least he owes to the now-gone Pevensie, after what he did to him, is to offer the brunette a hand.

"Sure," he nods, "Do you have a horse? Or a car we can borrow?"

He wonders if it would be impertinent to ask the Doc to borrow the DeLorean for moving.
wandbreaker: (Edmund - let me think on that)

"I've a horse," Edmund replies casually, offering a smile to the patron and taking the cash. "And I could ask Rosella if she wouldn't mind if I borrowed Valor."

"Valor," he repeats, suppressing a soft huff beneath his breath, "what a ridiculous name for a horse." At times, Amory forgets that fairy-tales are a reality here, and that includes princesses who name their horses Valor and KINGS who go off and fight witches. He doesn't like to think too hard about it.

"I have to head out there anyway, see if I can find Aquilo."
wandbreaker: (Edmund - joker)

[personal profile] wandbreaker 2012-03-04 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, of course," Edmund says with a rise of his eyebrows. "Because Aquilo is so elegant and regal." The slight thread of sarcasm is there; his own horse is named Siroc, after the sandstorms.

"I'll keep an eye out for him."

"The god of the North Wind. What isn't elegant and regal about that," he retorts, unable to avoid the small grin that spreads on his face, "Valor is something a little girl names her plastic, pollypocket ponies."

It hurts, to talk about horses, knowing that his white steed might as well be food for sandworms. As silly as it sounds, Amory has always seen his horse as one sees a human companion.

He sends two glasses sliding across the counter and over to a customer.

"When?"
wandbreaker: (Edmund - definitely pleased)

"Except that Rosella has had real horses her entire life." That and Edmund likes that sort of thing, although his own first horse was named Philip.

"Next week? Monday."

"All right. I'll give a call ahead of time."

For a fairytale princess, Rosella isn't too bad, and this is all just teasing, really.
