Who: Everyone!
What: Drinking!
When: March 3rd
Where: The Blue Light
Rating: Let's say R (I'll edit if... things happen)
Note(s): Party time! Tag all over the place, threadjack, make new friends, forget new drinking buddies--have fun!
There are a number of bars in the City. The Blue Light is one of the busier ones and, on the weekends, it's at its busiest.
This Saturday is no exception. Drinking, dancing, flirting--if it's legal, it's happening (and if it's questionably legal, it's probably happening more discretely; this is one of the nicer bars the City has to offer, after all). Whether you're a social drinker on a night out with your friends, a hardcore partier who habitually clears your Sunday schedule, or just there to drink the last of the desert away, you'll be in good company.

"BARKEEP!" he shouts. "MORE!"

Entering, he spies a familiar face - Doctor Ten's - newcomer's the third one to wear it. Those features combined with exuberance in placing an order remind him a bit of absent Myrnin.
Edges closer to observe the other man.

"Amory."
He fixes up the next shot quickly, and sends it sliding across the bar, spilling not a drop.

or six. The life of a slayer is hard so she's there and she's dressed up and she's actually full of confidence about the way she looks.Of course that could be the three shots of tequila she did immediately upon arriving at the bar.

Though, you know, it's not a date.
Though he does kind of like walking in with Euphie on his arm.
"You want anything?"

He is definitely comfortable where he is.

Getting used to a change of guard at the Blue Light wasn't difficult. There were things to explain, of course, like why he couldn't come everyday or his unfortunate tendency to unexpectedly cancel shifts. Hopefully, Peter had left a good word for him before his exit from the City. Or something. Well, Amory has yet to be fired.

Penny isn't dressed up and all she has is a Shirley Temple (she's not very good at this bar thing), but she's very pleased to see someone she knows at the Blue Light. She only came here because the rest of the City felt empty and she didn't really want to be alone. "Mind if I sit with you? And you look really amazing."

Her voice is pitched deeply, so he can hear it over the music.

"Can'ya get me another screwdriver," shouts a voice over the roaring crowd.
"Only if you can walk yourself out this time without breaking your nose, George," Amory retorts, the sarcasm out in full tonight.
The older man laughs gruffly, as Amory fashions another screwdriver--- a screwdriver that he'd rather be drinking himself right now. But another thing he's learned is that when you keep yourself busy, even at the wellspring of liquor and spirits, you're less liable to drink. In fact, Amory the drunkard has only had two tonight.

These are questions that will never leave her lips. Confidentiality agreements, you see. But that won't stop her from secretly fishing facts out amidst innocent conversation. Also, Olivia hasn't been to a celebration of any sort in years, minus Walter Bishop's birthday custard, and that's not even an exaggeration.
So there, at the end of the bar, Olivia sits nursing her vodka tonic, a little distanced from the noisy crowd in the center of the bar.

So he hasn't really gotten the chance to wind down since arriving in the City, and coffee and muffins for dinner don't really cut it. The Blue Light is the next open place he sees, so he walks in and orders a burger, fries and coke. He waits at the bar till they hand it to him, but sits at one of the tables away from it to eat.
If anyone asks if he's underaged, some alien turned him into a kid while he was out saving penguins from Happy Feet enthusiasts. But the lady sitting nearby doesn't seem likely to. She also seems like she's alone here, which no one should really have to be in a place with this ticking. "Want some fries? I ordered a lot."

Pardon the zombie in a corner. At least he's mostly covered up by armor.

At least sitting alone at a bar and drinking something nonalcoholic is slightly less pathetic than sitting alone at the apartment she now shares with Euphie. Even with the dog, the ticking was driving her a little bit nuts. Fortunately, the ever-present sound of the clock is almost drowned out in the crowded bar.

"Alright, Darlin' you look way too lonely for a pretty girl."
