There are a number of bars in the City.  The Blue Light is one of the busier ones and, on the weekends, it's at its busiest. 

This Saturday is no exception.  Drinking, dancing, flirting--if it's legal, it's happening (and if it's questionably legal, it's probably happening more discretely; this is one of the nicer bars the City has to offer, after all).  Whether you're a social drinker on a night out with your friends, a hardcore partier who habitually clears your Sunday schedule, or just there to drink the last of the desert away, you'll be in good company.

"Some of the curses were a little stranger with the glass surroundings, but... Well, you heard the only time I was cursed." She blushes a little. At least it wasn't something physical.

"It came out pretty garbled," he says quietly, glancing away for a fraction of a second as he does. He isn't lying, but well, he is trying to spare her feelings a little bit.

"Yes, it seemed to." There is a faint blush and she takes a drink to distract herself in hopes of it receding.

Tommy doesn't blush. Like, ever. He just nods a little and glances away again.

"I hope I didn't embarrass anyone."

"With that kind of curse, you probably caught the worst of it yourself."

She nods. "The reactions were a little surprising." She wants to change the topic! And yet here she is on this topic!

"Having a break from curses isn't so bad, but the desert wasn't worth it."

Almost a topic change. Not that he really wants to discuss that, either.

"Maybe someday we'll have a break without anything like that. I wonder if it would seem dull now."

[team_sociopath]

"Well, there weren't many curses after I came back from home? I think after a while it's kind of... you know, you end up just waiting to see what's gonna happen."

"Or you start making things happen."

[team_sociopath]

"Or that."

"You seem more like that sort of person."

[team_sociopath]

"I don't like being bored."

[deadly_legacy]

"What do you like?" Sipping her drink.

[team_sociopath]

"Keeping busy." A little curl at the corner of his lip. "Getting away with stuff. And saving the world is pretty cool, I guess."

"Tell me something you've gotten away with."

[team_sociopath]

That gets her an odd but mostly amused look. "I don't know if you'd like it."

"You might find out if you tell me." She gives him a teasing smile.

Tommy swings his bottle back and forth, dangling between his fingers.

"One time we broke into an apartment to steal Kate's gear back from the Avengers."

It's a good memory, even if it doesn't have the ending he'd have liked.

"Why did the Avengers have her gear?"

[team_sociopath]

"To hassle her, mostly."

[deadly_legacy]

"Then it sounds like you were doing a noble thing to rescue her...gear." Whatever that might be.

"If you wanna look at it that way."

She's sort of right. The dive bar and the making out in the elevator parts, slightly less so.

"You don't like it when people think you noble or heroic, do you?"
