Summary; Finals are over, the spring dance is here--finally a way for everyone, student and teacher, to relax! All the planning, preparation, and hard work has paid off. Students of all ages and grades are invited, and their teachers are sure to be there too. The school superintendents (read: the Deities) have done their very best to light up the Square. So whether you're from Westerberg High, Trinity Girls' School, Cutler's, Bikini Bottom Middle, or City U, you must have received your engraved invitation by now. Dress is formal, but the occasion is celebratory. Come one, come all. (And even those who aren't cursed may still come to take in the decorations, the food, the entertainment, and the merriment... or they can take pictures for blackmail when this is over.) So come and spend an evening under the stars...

"Yeah--exactly. I knew that." She knew that had to be the reason, of course...It's not like she was hoping for something else.

She clears her throat, mostly as a way to give her a second to get over her awkwardness, then adds, "You know I'm a good dancer now, anyway."

An awkward smile returns to his face. At least she doesn't think he's weird... He should try harder to not be weird. "And that's why I want to go dancing with you again. You're pretty fun."

Normally, she doesn't think he's really weird, but there's something different about today. It's not bad, it's just that Rita can't quite figure it out.

Instead of focusing on that, though, she gives him a pleased smile. "Good--because I'm having a good time, too."

Hearing that makes his smile more genuine, and he energetically agrees, "Me too. I really wouldn't have expected you liked dancing so much."

Tyr would blame Klarth for any weirdness he has towards Rita. Because he teased him!

If only Rita had a reason to blame Klarth! She can't figure out why she's being weird at all, though.

But for now, she's feeling pretty happy. "I had no idea you did, either. I think this is gonna be a fun night."

"I think it's good we don't have class tomorrow."

Their feet are going to be so sore if they dance all night... But that's exactly what he wants to do - especially if Klarth decides to join them later.

...And hopefully without any more teasing.

She laughs at that and agrees, "Yeah, no dragging ourselves to class after we've danced all night." Because that's exactly what she plans to do. She's having a lot of fun with Tyr, though she is also looking forward to seeing Klarth if he stops by.

Klarth should stop by; he's Tyr's other "date". Though he could imagine Klarth being a bad dancer...

"Do you want to be out here until the music stops?"

They'll find out once they see him...Rita's pretty curious to see how he dances now, actually.

"Why not? That's what we're here for, isn't it?"

They can dance together as long as a slow song doesn't come on...

Tyr nods easily. "That's right. As long as you can keep up with me."

They'll all have to take turns in that case...

And Rita snorts. "That's what my line should be!"

Yes... Tyr-Rita, Rita-Klarth, Klarth-Tyr...

He grips her waist again, taking a step closer. "Because you'll wear out my arms?"

All of those combinations!

And that makes her give him a quizzical look as she repeats, "Your arms? Are you dancing with those?"

All of them! They're all each other's dates! Or they can make a Rita sandwich...

"I could be," is all he says before he picks her up and gives her another spin.

A slow-dance-sandwich?!

She's less surprised this time, giving him a little delighted laugh. "So you're just going to keep picking me up?"

Yes! The best kind of dance sandwich.

The way she's laughing makes him want to keep picking her up - and a little more than that - but he just gives her a twirl before putting her back down. "If I did more than that, someone might end up kicked in the face."

Delicious dance sandwich...

Without missing a beat, her feet move to the music again, as she grins and replies, "Then it'd be their own fault for not moving out of the way."

Tyr and Klarth can rest their heads on top of Rita's.

She's a really impressive dancer... It's a little hard to keep up with her. "Then I'll toss you around next time." It'll be easier to miss the fact he's falling behind on her.

Then they can make out on top of her head.

"Until your arms get tired?" she repeats his earlier line back to him. If he is falling behind, she doesn't quite notice yet--she's having a ton of fun with him, anyway.

Poor Rita gets left out of the making out because she's not tall enough.

"Until then," he laughs. He tries to match her, and it takes a second, but that's not too bard. All he has to do is focus on their movements.

And she accuses them of treating her like a kid!! :<

"And this after you said I was light." She's teasing instead of defensive this time, though. And even if it does take him a moment, Rita still thinks he's a pretty good dancer--she can't think of anyone else she'd rather be here dancing with.

Should they feel her up as they makeout?!

He really loves dancing with her, too... And not just because her talent, but he won't tell her that. His arm wraps around her waist as he dances a little closer. "That just shows how much I'll be doing."

Huff, well, she supposes they can! As she does the same to them. (Suddenly this dance becomes too steamy for this thread?!)

She doesn't really think too much of it, even as her heart beats a little faster--and not just from the energy of the dance itself. "I wonder how long you'll be able to keep it up."

Tyr and Klarth would have no complaints about that. (Suddenly...! How did this happen!?)

"Do you wanna find out next time we go dancing?" he asks excitedly. He knows he's being weird with her, but...they're happy anyway.

And then everyone was happy... (Because they're teenagers?!)

Wow, he is really excited. That means he really wants to come out with her again...so rather than thinking that it's weird, she grins and answers, "And that'll be your next experiment?"
