Summary; Bruce has ended up treating several of the Circus' victims and now they're cluttering up his lab and apartment. Open post for people to visit Luke, Serrure, and Asami or pester Bruce (and possibly Sif)

Bruce's lab and apartment hadn't been intended as a makeshift hospital ward, but there they were. He'd set Asami up in his bedroom and Luke and Serrure were still kept in separate rooms to keep their magnetism from dragging their wounded bodies back together.

He's immediately available by network, but at the moment he's in his kitchen brewing up some chamomile tea. More accurately the water's heating and he has his forehead pressed against the stainless steel door of his fridge.

[ooc: Just set up threads for the various temporary residents for easy visitation.]

We can give you four hour blocks every other week for personal time.

What could a person possibly do in just four hours?

Bake a cake, read a book, watch two movies, four hours of martial arts practice, run a half marathon, meditate.

[Smiiiile.] Should I go on?

It takes me an hour to fix my hair in the morning! [ Slave driver!Bruce is in da howz, apparently. He gets a teasing pout. ] Don't make me, please ...

[He runs a hand through his hair to indicate how much time he spends on it... ever.]

Asami, you volunteered for this. You can do as much or as little as you want.

I'm kidding. [ Hngh, she really wants to take a brush to his hair. Maybe some scissors to do a trim. ] A ton would be inhumane of you.

[It gets trimmed now and then. He was busy when he was in India and the City has kept him too busy to care lately.]

To be honest, I'll give you a lot of material to work with, but you'll get to choose which direction you go and how much you do.

You're going to give me whiplash with those mood-swings of yours.

[But you're thinking about things other than your legs, so whiplash is worth it.]

You'll get used to it or we can just stick to physics.

That's not ... Never mind. [ Legs, what legs. ] When was the last time you had your hair cut, by the way?

[Speaking of whiplash?]

My hair? Uh... [His eyes unfocus trying to remember his last real haircut.] I trim it myself now and then.

If you bring me some scissors, I'll fix it for you.

[ NOT TO BE RUDE just. Yeah. ]

It would give me something to do and I promise I'm great at cutting.

[Fix it? Really?]

I guess it's getting in my eyes. I have a pair with my shaving kit. [And don't look at him like that, he shaves, he's just a hairy guy.]

[ Sitting up properly, she gives his hair a critical once-over. ]

Go fetch it, we'll make you even handsomer.

[The things he does for his patients.

He gets up and returns with his shaving kit, a comb, and a couple of towels, unzipping it to retrieve the scissor to hand over.]

Then I need to go check in on Luke and Serrre.

[ Flicking out the towel where she's sitting on the bed, she pauses. ]

Oh. Would you like to go and check on them first? I can eat while you see how they are.

If you're hungry now, eat now, otherwise I'll just sit down and take it. I know I'm kind of scruffy these days. There's only so far I have to take the mad scientist thing.

[ It's impossible to kneel so she goes for a side-saddle approach with the sheets covering her legs, already covered up by his tshirt. Holding up the towel, she pats the side of the bed. ]

Come on. You're alright on the floor, aren't you?

I'm fine with the floor. [He takes one of the extra towels and spreads it out before kneeling by the bed.]

Just a little off the top, please.

Trust me, okay? This isn't my first rodeo.

[ The towel's tossed around his shoulders as a precaution. Brushing her fingers through his hair, she measures the length in her fingers and begins snipping a little off the back. ]

It's a little curly.

[ Springy. ]

[With a touch of dry humor.] I've noticed.

I just let it have its way and spare a lot of fighting.

[ Chuckling, itching lightly behind an ear. ]

It's very nice. [ Humming thoughtfully, the trimming takes up most of her attention. ] Did you know? Before I came here, I'd never seen someone with blond hair before. Or red, or ... pink. We only have brunettes back home.

People with pink hair have to dye it where I'm from. Most redheads too, actually.

[He's sure he's been in stranger situations than this, but it's high-level strange to have a young woman who's been magically tranformed into something like a faun in his bed trimming his hair.]

Blondes seem to have originated in colder climates in my world. We have a range of physical adaptations to varied climates.

[ Her own thoughts are relatively more tame. Admiring how his curls keep slipping through her fingers takes up a lot of scientific consideration. ]

So do we, just nothing flaxen. [ Only Mako otherwise knows, but what she says next is light enough for chit-chat; with Bruce, anyway. ] I have Fire Nation blood on my mother's side. There's some Earth Kingdom in there too, hence my green eyes.

That sounds like what we'd say where I'm from. "I have some Irish on my dad's side, which explains my green eyes and why I shouldn't drink."
