She doesn't belong here! [What if she plans on hurting Chekov? This woman is a MENACE! Why is everyone acting like she's the lunatic? That woman hadn't been cursed to shoot Korra; she had done it of her own free will. The fact that everybody else seems perfectly okay with her presence is mind-boggling. (And by "everyone else," she really means Hei, because who else here knows that Marie shot her?)

She turns away from Hei, because if he says another word to her in that stupid, condescending, "gentle" voice of his, she will punch him in the face. That's when she notices Marie walking away.]

Where do you think you're going? NAGA!

[The polar bear dog comes running from where she had been playing in the ocean and stands directly in Marie's path. Making note of the tension radiating from her friend, Naga begins growling softly.]

Don't move.

[prosopopoeia]

[She turns her head to stare at Korra, her expression still painfully empty.]

[daggers]

[ Allison's sitting on a log in front of the bonfire, her arms covered up by the sleeves of a hooded sweatshirt even though her legs are bare. It's cooler at night, but the fire keeps her warm. She has a drink cupped in both hands and occasionally lifts it to her lips to sip, but most of the time she just glances into the flickering flames, quiet and reflective.

Someone chases their shadow in her periphery and then crosses into her field of vision and she glances up, smiling at the sight of who it is. ]

[affectioning]

[ Scott's new to dating in general, he'd only dated Allison for a few months and some of those months were in secret. But, he does know that it's so early in whatever's going on with them that he can't go to a party with Isaac or Allison. He invited them, of course. It's safe to say anybody Scott knew had been invited. Jim had tasked him with that. But, he felt showing up alone was better. Nobody gets left out - or, Isaac and Allison can go together. It's their choice!

So, Scott arrives around one after spending the morning at the clinic. He's in a pair of red swim trunks and a tank. He leaves his gift for Chekhov (a video game, hoping he plays those) and he moves right to the barbecue.

When not there, he can also be found in the ocean or on a towel drying off. ]

[affectioning]

[ Once Scott sees that Peter isn't a threat, he returns to the party, the sun having set and the bonfire going. He's hungry again having ran off his full stomach. But, a familiar scent catches him by surprise. He thought he'd missed her, or maybe that she'd decided not to come - or that she and Isaac... But she's here.

So, naturally, he's going to say hi. ]

Hi. [ He's smiling down at her. ]

[affectioning]

[ Oh. Hey. It's you. He looks down at the meat on his plate. ] Are you hungry?

[affectioning]

[ Rocks, you say? ]

Ginny!

[ He calls out to her from below before traversing them, making his way across. ] Hey!

[affectioning]

Woah.

[ He's staring. No, really. It's amazing. ]

[affectioning]

Dr. McCoy!

[ Hopefully he's even more content when a young teenager drops down next to him with a plate and soda in hand. He hasn't seen McCoy since movie night and they hadn't gotten to really talk - because of the movie, so this is the best time, right? ]

Hey.

[daggers]

[ She smiles back, not really having noticed any kind of disappearance since she showed up to the party closer to sunset. Maybe he's just a late arrival? She doesn't think anything of it and pats the spot on the log next to herself. ]

Want to sit? Or are you going to grab some food first?

[affectioning]

I can sit. [ Hungry? He's hungry? He takes a seat on the log next to her. ] Enjoying the party?

[daggers]

Mmhmm.

[ She takes a sip of her drink, her shoulder absently nudging against his. ]

It's nice, like this. It almost feels - normal.

[affectioning]

Almost. [ He looks to her. ] There are two other wolves in the City. Did you hear the howl earlier? I found one in the forest. But, this? Was a wolf. Not a werewolf - he'd completely turned.

[daggers]

But not - not someone from home, right?

[ Her brow furrows lightly and she swivels to face him in turn, keeping their conversation quiet. She knows what Gerard had told her about Talia Hale, about werewolves who could shift to an actual wolf, but - as far as she knows, there aren't any new arrivals. ]

There's two? Who else?

[affectioning]

No.

[ He remembers Talia Hale as well. But, it sounded really rare. ]

Peter? Isaac smelled him at movie night. He mentioned another but he didn't give me a name. Derek knows.

[daggers]

Does that mean Derek is going to tell you?

[ She has a vague sense of pack dynamics these days. ]

He's - not going to hurt anyone, is he? Peter?

[affectioning]

He will.

[ He shakes slowly. ]

He seemed - not docile but, not like he'll be a real threat. He didn't attack me.

[daggers]

[ She absently runs her free hand over her arm, glancing back towards the fire. ]

But you don't trust him yet.

[outofthefreezer]

[Isaac had a busy day but he'd promised to turn up at some stage, unfortunately that means he didn't turn up until night had fallen and some of their Werewolf problem's had been taken care of. He seemed relax though, despite the full moon. It was hard not to be relaxed considering his current situation.

He'll be sitting with his feet near the bonfire, keeping toasty.]

totally supposed to shake his head. instead, i evoked a HILARIOUS scene in my head

[affectioning]

I've met him. But, I'll need to talk to him. [ Even if he didn't want to, he feels he has to, interestingly enough, alpha obligation becoming a thing. ]

calm down scott, it's okay

[daggers]

[ She gets it. If she was in his position she'd feel the exact same way. She's probably going to size him up anyway when she inevitably meets him, just to see what kind of vibe she gets. ]

Good. That's a good idea.

[Julie didn't know the girl from anyone else, but in the City she had opportunities to make friends. Not that she didn't have it back home, but here it seemed easier. People here were happier. In Citi Stadium? Not so much. The people there walked around as if they were already dead inside and Julie hated it.

So she decided to introduce herself to the girl who looked close-ish to her age.]

Hi. I'm not being intrusive or anything, am I? You seemed..lost in thought. I heard a rumor that getting too lost in thought at a party was a bad idea.

[daggers]

Not at all. Wait, what am I opening myself up for?

[ Her expression blossoms into a fuller smile at the sight of the other girl, and she even chuckles a little as she cradles her drink in both hands. ]

[outofthefreezer]

[Isaac walked over to her slowly despite his urge to go immediately to her side. He tried to make it casual but now he's just standing over her shoulder grinning widely.]

Hey you.

[grigio]

Nothing from me, but people might ask questions like "are you okay?" You might even hear people go "penny for your thoughts" which I've always found weird.

[Julie grins in return and then extends her hand.] Julie Grigio. Hi.
