[ OOC: Feel free to assume your character has received an invite to the party via their inbox or word of mouth for Chekov's birthday! Everyone is welcome except you, Khan and presents are mandatory for the Enterprise's young navigator. Please tag under either section to keep the party somewhat ordered, and have fun! ]
Re: open!
So she decided to introduce herself to the girl who looked close-ish to her age.]
Hi. I'm not being intrusive or anything, am I? You seemed..lost in thought. I heard a rumor that getting too lost in thought at a party was a bad idea.

[ Her expression blossoms into a fuller smile at the sight of the other girl, and she even chuckles a little as she cradles her drink in both hands. ]

[Julie grins in return and then extends her hand.] Julie Grigio. Hi.
no subject
[ She switches her drink to one hand in order to reach out and clasp the hand extended to her. ] Allison Argent. Hi.

[Julie's not carrying much of anything. Just her messenger bag. She's gotten used to going everywhere with it back home so leaving it behind here seemed a bad idea.
Plus, it's way easier to carry her inhaler in this and not try to find creative ways to stuff it into the pocket of her shorts.]

[Enter Lydia, in her vintage bikini and clutching a trio of cold drinks in her hands. She sits down with the pair like she has a perfect right to. Which in Lydia-world, she totally does. She holds out two of the drinks in offering.]
Good, you guys are meeting each other which is totally what I wanted to happen. Obviously the stars are aligning.

[ Allison glances to the cup in her own hand, gives a shrug, and then downs the rest without much of a pause before reaching out for the new drink offered. ]
Lydia finds a way to know everyone.

[Julie takes the offered drink and downs some, smiling a bit. This was nice. This is what she needed more of back home. Drinks in a comfortable environment with friends. There were only so many times she could sneak vodka into the Orchard before she was sure her luck would run out.]
Hi, Lydia.

[She is not talking about the horizon, ladies.]

Can't really see much past the fire.
no subject
[fires in general are nice. When they're controlled.]
Or am I missing something entirely?
no subject
[Let Lydia be your guru of guy-watching, ladies!]

[ Allison quickly takes a sip of her drink. ]
Well, I didn't want to stare.

R is an important person from home. He could possibly change everything about where I'm from.
[All she's doing is keeping him safe. Gosh.]
I also have no desire to be taken, either.
[Because she just lost Perry. To R. Which she doesn't know that minor detail just yet.]
no subject
[Oh really, Julie? You have Lydia's attention now regarding R, but she doesn't pursue the issue. For now. By Lydia's Relationships Radar is totally tingling and you have no one to blame but yourself. (She'll process the whole 'but R is a zombie' thing later, k.) Still, Lydia's not too hung up on pushing the pasttime and instead offers,]
You know, there are actually a lot of very cool ladies in this place to hang out with. I do yoga with Uhura in the mornings, and she's pretty fierce. Ginny's pretty nice, too.
no subject
Well, Julie might not be taken, but - I am. Fairly recently, actually.
[ What she doesn't go into is the fact that she's dating not just one, but two werewolves - though the look she quickly shoots in Lydia's direction is enough to confirm that her best friend's earlier suggestion to date both Isaac and Scott? Didn't go ignored. ]
Yoga, huh?
no subject
I have never in my nineteen years done yoga. No one teaches it anymore.
no subject
We should get all the ladies together for it. We could always have it in the park if there's too many of us. And I can teach you some, Julie. I'm not a professional instructor or anything but there are some basic forms which are super easy.
Oh, and when me and Allison get our place? You're totally invited to the housewarming.
[Because they're totally getting a place.]
no subject
I had a feeling you were going to throw a party for that.
[ She turns back to Julie. ]
To which you are definitely invited. Of course.
no subject
[What she'll make, she's not sure yet. But she feels the urge to paint something pretty for someone. So that will happen.]
And yes, please. Teach me so I don't make myself look stupid.
no subject
Well like I said, the first and most easiest way to scope is definitely using sunglasses. No one can see your eyes that way, so if you just keep your head angled straight forward, you've got a pretty wide range of vision.
[Lydia's got this down to a science.]
no subject
We can't really do that now. Being that it's dark out.
[ She fights back a grin. ]
What do you do at night?
