[Lydia makes a pffft sound.] I am referring to the collection of males cavorting around without shirts. Even if you're taken, [And there's a sly sidelong look at each of her fellow ladies,] It doesn't mean you're suddenly wearing blinders.

[ Allison quickly takes a sip of her drink. ]

Well, I didn't want to stare.

I'm not taken. [Julie says this calmly. Evenly. A faint smile on her face.]

R is an important person from home. He could possibly change everything about where I'm from.

[All she's doing is keeping him safe. Gosh.]

I also have no desire to be taken, either.

[Because she just lost Perry. To R. Which she doesn't know that minor detail just yet.]

Ladies, ladies. This is window shopping. Not marriage proposals. And there's an art to it. Though it helps if you have sunglasses. I was actually talking about Allison, though.

[Oh really, Julie? You have Lydia's attention now regarding R, but she doesn't pursue the issue. For now. By Lydia's Relationships Radar is totally tingling and you have no one to blame but yourself. (She'll process the whole 'but R is a zombie' thing later, k.) Still, Lydia's not too hung up on pushing the pasttime and instead offers,]

You know, there are actually a lot of very cool ladies in this place to hang out with. I do yoga with Uhura in the mornings, and she's pretty fierce. Ginny's pretty nice, too.

[daggers]

[ That reminds her, Lydia. There's definitely something she needs to talk to you about regarding her own relationship status - which, at the moment, is now decisively not single. ]

Well, Julie might not be taken, but - I am. Fairly recently, actually.

[ What she doesn't go into is the fact that she's dating not just one, but two werewolves - though the look she quickly shoots in Lydia's direction is enough to confirm that her best friend's earlier suggestion to date both Isaac and Scott? Didn't go ignored. ]

Yoga, huh?

[Lydia says 'zombie'. Julie says 'she has no clue what.' And she's glad the conversation isn't being pursued for now. She wouldn't quite know what to say.]

I have never in my nineteen years done yoga. No one teaches it anymore.

Hey, I like yoga.

We should get all the ladies together for it. We could always have it in the park if there's too many of us. And I can teach you some, Julie. I'm not a professional instructor or anything but there are some basic forms which are super easy.

Oh, and when me and Allison get our place? You're totally invited to the housewarming.

[Because they're totally getting a place.]

[ They're definitely getting a place. And now that she's broken the news to Scott and Isaac, it's closer to becoming a reality. ]

I had a feeling you were going to throw a party for that.

[ She turns back to Julie. ]

To which you are definitely invited. Of course.

I'll be sure to make you guys an awesome Housewarming present.

[What she'll make, she's not sure yet. But she feels the urge to paint something pretty for someone. So that will happen.]

[Lydia seems terribly pleased to have a padawan; even if Allison is used to her antics (and oh Miss Allison, don't think she doesn't notice that look, details will be demanded later!) Julie is not, and clearly the blonde could benefit from her experience in Lydia's ever so humble opinion.]

Well like I said, the first and most easiest way to scope is definitely using sunglasses. No one can see your eyes that way, so if you just keep your head angled straight forward, you've got a pretty wide range of vision.

[Lydia's got this down to a science.]
