Oh, I, uh - well, I've met some of his friends? Dr. McCoy, and Jim?

Jim's sort of the one who invited me. I think he invited almost everyone who lives here.

[logistical]

Almost everyone.

[He sounds mildly amused.]

[ She switches her drink from one hand to the other to offer it to him, standing up. ]

[Touch-telepath alert! He does not shake hands. Instead, he gives her the Vulcan salute.]

Have you been here long, Allison?

[ Oops. Well, she watches his hand and then attempts to mimic it, looking up at him for an approval before dropping her hand. ]

Only a couple weeks. I'm still trying to get used to, well. Everything.

[logistical]

[Hey look, she got it right. He nods approvingly, and drops his hand, his formal stance looking completely out of place with casual beach wear.]

Have you experienced a curse yet?

[ She's nothing if not easily adaptable. ]

About two weeks ago, right when I first showed up. I - couldn't say anything but the truth.

This was uncomfortable?

A little embarrassing, but it could have been worse.

I'm guessing these curses are basically just that? Embarrassing?

[logistical]

So far, embarrassing or inconvenient appears to be the case.

[daggers]

Both of those I can handle. It's when it turns dangerous that it could pose a problem.

[logistical]

No doubt dangerous curses exist, but I have not observed or experienced one. Memory loss could potentially be damaging but so far, it has not been.

Did it only last as long as the curse itself?

No, but I met someone who did. It lasted only as long as the curse.
