Log: Ongoing
When; Tuesday feb 27, All day
Rating; Who knows? I mean... We'll start at PG for silliness...
Characters; Anyone and everyone Invited, and thensome. (AKA, open to all)
Summary; They had planned a lake party, and g'dimmit, they were gonna have one!
Log;
Zaheela rubbed her eyes sleepily as she focused on guiding Eisen to the Lake. She had forced herself awake from her potion induced state to open the door for Smee and Nill and spent the last few hours preparing the food. Meats for grilling, vegetables, salads, drinks, fruit dishes, sweets, a plethora of treats, enough food to feed the city, or at least a good number of heavy eaters. Knowing full well that Faye and Greed had said they were coming, she also had stored away a good amount of alcohol in the cart. Towels had been folded, batteries inserted into a portable radio with spares tucked away, blankets too, she had thought of anything they could need. She was only glad it was sunny today.
The swimsuit was uncomfortable under her clothes, being unused to wearing such cloth, but she had assumed it would be improper for her to do as she normally did. The lake appeared, as Cobray had said and she let out a girlish giggle. Water! FISH! WATER! Eeeee! As soon as they were close, she ran ahead, pulling off pants and shirt, tossing them to Eisen, who with a sigh, caught thim in his beak. He was far too used to his master and her love of water. He watched as she ran into the water clad in her bathing suit and dove in. She had forgotten she was supposed to help set up... Silly master.

Despite the fact that in this City she was no longer the rich little princess who always got everything she wanted, the look on her face and she walked towards the lake was sublime. Twirling her parasol and humming contentedly, she approached the lakeside and looked into the crystal waters, pleased and content. She couldn't wait for the party to get started; she would make so many new friends!

Zaheela dove as deep as she dared before stopping and hovering in the water. Her hair swirled around her and her eyes caught the shape of fish darting below and turned in the water so that she could see the sun from under the water. A moment or two of staring and she surfaced again.

"C'mon, you slowpokes!" he called back, yellow eyes glinting over the rim of his sunglasses.

When Crowley and the others moved onto the shore, the Horseman lingered behind, fingers caressing a tree-trunk and pretending he didn't notice when it began to dry out and rot beneath his touch.
He was shy. He didn't know any of those people, and this would be one of the first times ever that he would actually be.. noticed. He didn't know what to do---maybe he should go back?
But before he could talk himself into fleeing, he found his feet moving him forward, hesitant steps toward the demon and the angel.
He was going to do his best not to ruin the picnic for everyone.

When was the last time Captain Jas. Hook had even entertained the idea of one? As a pirate king, such things were hardly ever a possibility. The closest thing to a picnic at sea would be some sort of din on the main deck, or perhaps if in port, a visit to the local tavern. But an honest-to-Hades picnic?
He actually couldn't recall ever going to one. Definitely not after he had started attending Eton, only Lucifer knew how many years ago. A fleeting thought was cast to his Auntie Em, a woman he expected was probably dead by now, but quickly pushed aside. This was no time to be lingering over the past. Though, what it was the time for-- Hook was unsure to that either. In fact, he wasn't even positive why he had agreed to come.
Perhaps to humour Smee.
Perhaps because, deny it as he would, James Matthew was still there, and as a child-- he wanted to play.
Either way, the blackavised man was present. Sans coat and hat-- the former the weather too warm for, the latter still missing-- in only a off-white poet's shirt and black britches. It had taken them a little while longer to get there, he and his first mate, and Jas couldn't help but arch an eyebrow as the sight that greeted them was a certain demon with his angel over his shoulder, sprinting for the lake.

He laughed, looking up at Hook.
"B-b-better to start with a b-b-b-ang then, eh Captain?" he asked. The little pirate was obviously in quite a good mood.

"I still say we shouldn't of added so many onions to the burger mix..." She grumbled, remembering the argument the two had in her kitchen that morning about what made the perfect hamburger mixture. They had settled on two batches, but hers had 'mysteriously' disappeared,

Mars had dragged Kevin along to help carry the supplies. It was still a bit early in the season to start swimming, so neither of them brought any bathing suits.
The two sat down under a nearby tree, as Kevin was usually the antisocial sort and only came to the picnic because Mars pestered him to.
"They're crazy, goin' swimmin'." Mars commented at the sight of Zah and Renge's bathing suits. "It's still considered winter!"

"But it's plenty warm to me." She said, but momentarily slipped from behind the grill (giving Smee plenty of time to sabotage the food) and tapped a crystal that had been mysteriously placed on the four corners of the tent. They hummed to life, glowing white and a soft glow filled the area, keeping the inside warm.
"Winter sminter. As long as we enjoy ourselves, what's the problem?" She continued. Eisen merely coo'd and rubbed his head against Mars' shoulder, feeling a kinship with the bird like Chojin.

It would have been nice if he'd found some clothes, but that hadn't happened yet.
He poked around among the food as though he was an invited guest and grumbled to himself about the glaring lack of caribou eyeballs.
"There had better be some HuFu in here somewhere. I'd gouge someone's eyes out for it about now."
no subject
"HuFu?" She questioned.

So he stood, and he simmered, the fire of his hatred burning in his heart, screaming for a release. Soon they will all fear you, a voice in his mind told him. Soon...

"Fiend it is!" he agreed with a grin. "I won't deny it!" And that being said, he dove under the water. However, though his goal was originally the angel, it was quickly diverted as he spotted Lyra. His grin turned to one of a shark, and he sped off through the water towards her, though she wasn't that far away.

But Zaera-polo would be angry if Noitora broke his toy. And lord knows what with recent events, Aizen-sama and his army really didn't need any more drama. Hell, that's what made Noitora come out here. He needed a breath of fresh air.
He was wearing only a stylish bathingsuit he had bought in one of the stores nearby, and a pair of flipflops. But still he carried his ax; it was his precious friend, how could he leave it behind? This little bit of psychological warfare was fun to be shared by both master and sword.
So when Noitora got to the edge of the lake, it was the weapon that touched the water's surface first. Noitora pushed off the edge and sped around the lake, weaving in and out of heads and bodies at top speed. He let loose his maniacal laughter at the top of his voice, yelling "You bastards havin' fun yet?"

Zaheela panicked the moment the Arrancar had appeared, the burger she had been flipping falling to the ground. Her tail shot straight up and she half thought to launch a Holy two straight at his face, but forced herself to calm down. It was a strange sight... to say the least... seeing... well...um...that....

Rocky avoided getting close to the water, as that was what he died in. It made him nervous and he stuck around Jeager like a small child. Plus he hardly knew anyone here.

Slowly standing, using a nearby tree to support her, she stared out over the crystal surface of the lake. Hopefully she had not caused anybody to worry too much. A day like this was exactly what everybody needed.

She had never learned how to swim and Nill was curious...The girl had never really had the chance to learn...and now that she had the chance...she was a bit anxious. She had changed into her a bathing suit, newly bought, since she didn't possess one, and Nill found a bit...breezy? Was that the word...? She flapped her wings a bit, at least it happened to give her wings freedom of movement.
Now...how does one...swim...?

"I promised to teach you how to swim right?" She said before letting the spell disappear and landed with a splash into the ankle deep water.

Truthfully, though they did argue about a lot of what they had cooked, Smee had a lot of fun. He always felt in his element in the kitchen, and this time was no exception.

Considering the City's typical standard? It was an all in all good start, though the thought still didn't deter him from scrunching his nose somewhat petulantly.
"Jow-chan~, that's definitely the last time we take a detour," he uttered dramatically, then canted his head to the side to glance at his date (♥!). Only after a moment of thoughtful hesitation did he grin and snake out a hand to brush at the other male's cheek. "Dirt on your face," he added with a sage nod, though it was apparent enough when his thumb came away clean that it was little more than a threadbare excuse.
"So! Shall we go~? I think I see..." He squinted. "Is that Zaheela with a swimsuit on?"

"Kio!" he yelled, waving, "Glad to see ya' here! You look like ya' got in a fight with a semi-truck."

And it was open to all.
So, the 29 year old man set out to the Beach. Through the Woods and past those pesky monsters. "Stupid beasts." he mumbled to himself. Unfortunately one of them heard him and ran at him. Terrified, Stanley made a quick break for it running as fast as he could from the monster. Finally he found himself at the beach, and the monster had given up.
Stan leaned over. While he had no need to breath, that exertion had hurt just a bit. In a moment he was feeling fine, (or as fine as a dead person that is.) "So, let's see what is there to do here?"
