Summary; Narnian Pizza
Log;
After setting up the arrangements with Caspian, Tosh headed out for her third 'meal date' of the day, shaking her head in bemusement at how oddly these things seemed to schedule themselves. She'd anticipated a silent day around the flat, and instead had spent most of her time out with friends. Which was nice, and desperately needed. Now, she stood outside the door of the pub, leaning against the wall as she waited for her guests to arrive.

Ah but now that she'd mention it, Caspian couldn't help but think of their second skirmish. After Peter had mentioned that he attacked first it occurred to the Telmarine now that he attacked first the second time as well. Temper issue? It was best left avoided and out of the conversation in such pleasant company.
"All wrongs were righted," most of them, he nodded. Happy ending? Not quite, but Caspian wasn't one to embellish and sugarcoat. He took another hit of that beer. "It is as you said, Narnia was saved."

"We thought so, at least. I ended up here." Peter wasn't bitter. It had been a shock to end up someplace other than the train station, but it would have been a lie to say he'd rather be at school.

She shrugged, her smile carrying a hint of sheepishness. "I've really come to love it here. But as I said before, I have the people I'd consider family with me, so that makes a difference."
[ooc: I've got to run off for sleep now!]

"No, I do not think it is so terrible," Caspian said in agreement with Tosh. Unfortunately his concept of 'family' was a little skewed by his past, but there was Peter and Bree, and Destrier.

Not wanting to ruin the mood, Peter grinned after his statement and took a sip. Wherever they were, they were fine. Peter knew they were capable of taking care of themselves.

"Yes, we do. Peter and I are days apart," he nodded to Toshiko. Although he wouldn't have the privilege of visiting England for many years he also knew by virtue of the Pevensies that Narnian time worked as funny as City time.

"Thirteen hundred years in Narnia was around a year back in England, although when we left Narnia, no time had passed at all."

"Your memories faded?" Caspian wouldn't want that at all. It seemed like a waste of the opportunity the City had to offer, whatever that opportunity was.

"It's awful to think you'd forget all the people you met here. After all the months you spend here, just to have it all vanish the moment you get home." Not that Peter had experience with that sort of memory loss, but he did know how it felt to lose a large, very important chunk of life instantly.

She eyed the flushed faces of Caspian and Peter, and asked, "You two feeling all right?"
no subject
"But you remembered many things when you returned here," he reminded Tosh, and it was true wasn't it? She knew who he was upon her return, whether she'd forgotten him in her world or not.
Ahem. "I am all right, if a bit warm," Caspian smiled again.
no subject
"I'm sure you would have remembered, after a while." Peter added. "Later in a dream, maybe."
no subject
She shrugged thoughtfully at Peter. "If I'd had more time, I suppose I might have. But it doesn't really matter, because I'm here now, aren't I?"
no subject
"Yes, you are here, and you do not seem any worse for it," he said in a chipper manner. It was Caspian's way of telling Toshiko she didn't look at all like the undead.

By now, Peter had decided he was in more of a mood for beer than pizza, and followed Caspian's gesture.

"I...yes. It was good to see my team all together again. And it gave me a chance to finish a very important project." She smiled ruefully, although there was a small nod of appreciation for Caspian's remark. "Somehow we've come back round to talking about me again. I'm sorry."

It seemed odd to him that more people in the City could put together an idea of Narnia or an idea of his culture, more than Caspian could put together an idea of aliens and outer space. Were he not full of good alcohol, good food, and good conversation he might have thought that made the Telmarine a 'backwards' sort of man. The concept of a knight sounded archaic to most everyone else, except for the likes of Luke Skywalker and his friends.
"This is a good place," he remarked as an aside, when he received his third beer and first sip of it.

"It's very diverse. I've met a stonking load of different sorts, but most of them have been pleasant to get along with." Peter nodded as he spoke, before taking a longer than usual sip of his drink.
no subject
It really was very pleasant -- neither Peter nor Caspian seemed to have any particular agenda, they acted interested in what she had to say, and were willing enough to lend their own views to the conversation. "You know, I'm very glad we agreed to do this. I know exactly what you mean, Peter. It's been amazing to meet so many new people, and I've really found hardly any of them to be too difficult to get on with."
no subject
"As am I, Toshiko. It has been very pleasant," he said, referring to both the meal and company.
