"Well, both really. Dancing has never particularly been my kind of thing, regardless of who it's with."
Open
After all, the professor had been skittish when they'd talked earlier. It might be best to take things slow, but really Kyle had a hard time keeping control of himself when he was dancing regardless.
"You don't seem too disturbed by it right now," he pointed out, turning them slowly.
Open
Talking about it? Well, it had been daunting, but actually doing it? Ianto found it to be not so bad at all.
"Probably because I'm enjoying myself now."
Open
"Good," he said, voice low. "I always want to make sure my partners are having fun."
Open
"That's very kind of you, isn't it?"
Open
"I'm a generous soul," he stated with a smile, then tucked his head under Ianto's chin, cheek pressed to the man's collar.
Open
He'd been about to answer Kyle when the man made that sudden move, and Ianto found the man's hair was tickling his chin.
He stiffened for a moment, and then relaxed.
Open
"Did you have any of the punch?" he murmured, figuring they were close enough now that he didn't have to speak up to be heard. His lips brushed against Ianto's throat as he talked.
Open
"Heh no. I know it's spiked. It always it."
He didn't struggle to hear Kyle either, adjusting his head a little so his chin rested directly against Kyle's hair. It was nice being tall sometimes.
Open
In Kyle's opinion, there was no point to a punch bowl that didn't have a little something extra in it.
The hands on his back felt nice. Kyle sighed and swayed to the music, wishing the slow song wasn't coming to an end. He rather liked this position.
Open
"I'm not entirely sure why people think we teachers don't notice."
Open
As the song wound down, Kyle sighed against the skin of Ianto's neck and lifted his head reluctantly.
"I suppose you won't indulge me in another?"
Open
"Depends on the song," he said truthfully.
Open
"Come for a walk with me? I don't want you to get away so soon."
Open
"A walk would be nice, yes."
Open
Kyle beamed and tugged Ianto off the dance floor to a quieter, less crowded area.
Open
"Do you have somewhere in mind?"
Open
"But it's pretty here, isn't it?"
Open
"It is, isn't it? Probably why they held the dance here."
Open
"We're lucky the weather's agreeable tonight. Can you imagine the disaster if it rained?"
Open
"Everybody would have gone nuts if it had, I think."
Open
"A lot of wet tuxedo pants and taffetta. Although that might have been interesting too."
Open
"Despite all the complaints of ruined clothes?"
Open
Kyle turned his head and grinned.
Open
"Do you spend a lot of your time doing that?"
