fortalkingback,
alittlecredit & whoever he wants to bring,
filmbyzach &
adamantined & whoever they want to bring,
misterblackbird,
peopleskills,
gracedfall &
isabeansprout &
strawberried (do I really want to go there?), and uh no bad guys. BYOB, the Mario Kart is always on so assume games as you like (and of course everything is unlocked), play nice, don't break anything or Ted will go all Hulk on your ass (more like Kate will kick you out). Poke me with an ooc comment if you want in but don't know if you'd be invited or not. Backdating or assuming is fiiiine.
Log;
They had chips, popcorn, pop, water, juice, and coffee. Teddy had checked three times. He'd also changed his shirt at least four times, and his pants once (they didn't match the shirt), and then he'd had to fix his hair. He didn't know why he was so nervous about having a bunch of friends over to hang out, but really he knew it was because he'd never had people over as a kid. And he'd never gone over to other people's houses. He'd been to high school house parties, but it wasn't the same, he'd never felt comfortable in all that loud music and nearly-naked girls. So what kind of parties did people like him throw for other people like him? He had no idea. He was going by what he'd seen on tv and heard about colloquially, which he was aware wasn't entirely reliable. What if people got bored?
Not to mention he'd ended up inviting way more people than he'd originally planned. It was just that, once he'd invited one person he felt guilty about not inviting someone else or maybe forgetting someone and it just snowballed from there. Hopefully they wouldn't fun out of food. Or space. He'd just realized lately how much time he actually spent with Billy and felt bad for all the friends who had been there for him while Billy had been away.
So rather than count the food again he went into the living room and started flipping through his iPod to find something suiable to listen to. You couldn't go wrong with Arcade Fire, right?

Billy's never been really good at parties, anyway.
no subject
Spotting Billy on the floor he approached him quietly. Whether this was a normal thing to do at parties he didn't know; he certainly didn't see anyone doing that at Road's birthday party.
"Billy?"
no subject
He smiles. "Hey," he says. "I'm glad you came." He is glad that the little mage is there. Fai is starting to feel like a little brother; except way better behaved. "Have you ever played Mario Kart?"
no subject
"Mario Kart?" He shook his head slowly. "No. What is it? Is it a game?"
no subject
He knows that Fai probably has never really played video games, so he explains the controller with a decided bounce of excitement in his voice. "Here," he says, beginning on an easy course. "Don't worry about winning we'll just play to learn."
no subject
He chewed on his lower lip without knowing as he tried his best not to fall over the edge. "Darn..." Although he knew he wasn't playing to win (yet) he still couldn't help frowning. He'd definitely have to show this game to Yuui later when he got better.
no subject
He nudges Fai just a little. "Oh, did you want anything to eat?"
no subject
He blinked again and looked to the screen in thought. "No...Not yet." He had seen the platters of food earlier, but he had been unsure of whether he was allowed to eat any of it yet.
Or maybe that was just his bashfulness coming out to rear it's ugly head at him in the most inopportune times.
no subject
It did worry him, just a touch, how much Teddy was investing into this party, thing, whatever. Not enough though that he pulled his boyfriend aside. Yet. "You can have as much as you like."

He spotted Kate, smiled, and came the rest of the way in the room.

"I was about to start crying about you not showing up," she greeted him sarcastically with a grin. She hopped down to meet him halfway and gave him a friendly one armed hug.
Kate shook the still-full soda in Jaime's direction. "I would give this one to you, but I already drank from it. Make yourself at home and get one from the fridge."
no subject
"Ready to get your butt kicked in Mario Kart?" It wasn't that Jaime was actually feeling that cocky, but he was in the mood for a little friendly competition, and from what he'd seen of Kate she figured she would rise to his bait.
no subject
"Let's make it interesting. I win, which I will, you buy me lunch every day for one week." Kate spoke as she headed towards the living room. "I lose, which I won't, I do whatever you want for one week. Within reason."
One controller was already in her hand and she held the other one out to Jaime. "What say you?"
no subject
"All right then, I accept," he said, taking the other controller with exaggerated solemnity. "You're going down."
no subject
"I got Yoshi. And if you hit me with a shell, I swear I'll hit you with a fist, Jaime," she threatened with a smile.
[ooc: Kate is so gonna lose.]
no subject
[ooc: My only exposure to Mario Kart was peeking over shoulders while some friends had an epic DS tournament so I guess we assume how the race goes or you can add some actual details.]
no subject
"You cheated!" Kate looked shocked. She'd never lost this much in one week. It must be bad luck. "I demand a rematch!"

IDK how i missed this post /failure /no obligation to tag but just in case someone wants to 83
Anyway, point being, he shows up alone, perhaps trying to ignore the curse of the day before, possibly just going because he was invited and he has spoken to Kate before, Teddy once or twice, and, well, okay not much else, but it is somewhere to be without lingering around and waiting to apologize to Claire and knowing it won't make much of a difference. They both feel very much at fault for hurtful truths, but the truth is not their fault, and so they find themselves in a conundrum of sorts. Maybe they are just forever destined to go in circles, but their forever is a short-lived one, so that might be just as well.
Pausing outside the front door, he adjusts his headphones around his neck, large silver things that are a little flashy but for the most part stylish and neat looking, a clean design that probably makes people think it has Made in Japan somewhere on it--they would be right, for the record. Before knocking, he checks his phone in case he has gotten a text from a certain someone and seeing nothing, he sighs under his breath and knocks.
Mohinder is not the person he chooses to take advice from, and he really hasn't spoken to him enough to know his opinion for certain, but he thinks the man is logical enough to suggest he branch out from Claire for his own good, and logically this is right, but you can't help who you love, they say. This is true of Zach. But he has nothing against making new friends regardless. None of them will ever really match up to his best friend, but they're not supposed to, and he can hear good music from inside, so that's a good starting point, right? Is it bad he can't help but compare? Probably. He knows he's changed since coming to this City, sometimes he wonders if he's become a worse person for it, but he never gets affirmation of one way or the other.
Waiting, not knocking a second time, he shifts, not nervous, but a little prone to fidgeting either way.
He checks his phone again.
no prob. backdating is my bff esp. considering I'm going to bed soon
There were a few people here already, aside from Billy and Kate, so it wasn't exactly empty, and the sounds of an earnest battle drifted from the living room. Upon seeing Zack in the doorway Teddy first registered how similar he looked to Billy and then struck that thought from the record as he slipped into Host Mode and backed out of the doorway. "Hey, Zack. Come on in."
<3333 sleep well when you do :3 /celebrates backdating forever >.>
"Thanks for inviting us," he says automatically 'us' and quickly adds, "Um I don't know if Claire is coming but, she might." Awkward. The backpack on his shoulders he adjusts to keep from fidgeting with anything else, glancing around at the apartment, approving more as Arcade Fire continues and wondering what to do next. He has, obviously, not been to many parties of any kind either.
slow backdating is slow D:
"Um, help yourself to food, drinks are in the fridge," he offered, trying to remember the schpeal he'd already run through his head. "...Can I take your coat?" he concludes awkwardly, scratching at the back of his head. This was much easier when he could put the tux on and be In Character.
