Summary; Euphie and Guy plan a beach party. Everyone is asked to attend.

It was the first uncursed Saturday, and has promised Guy and Euphemia were setting up the party at the beach. They had refreshments set up and a few games prepared for the attendees. It promised to be a beautiful day for playing in the water or lounging on the sand. And the evening was sure to make a great time for relaxing and listening to music.

Open log for everyone. YES EVERYONE. Euphie and Guy meant it when they invited everybody. Threadjack, plot, play, have fun. The possibilities are endless!

If you want some drama in the water, Guy and Katara are playing lifeguard. If you want some dancing, volleyball, silly swimsuit shenanigans, GO FORTH. the sky is the limit. Romantic sunset walks or ridiculous shounen power-surfing competitions, it's all encouraged!

[ He looks back at her and tries not to look awkward. He's not so much ashamed of his body as he is ashamed of the memories he knows just can't go away.

Easily, at least. ]

... Let's keep dancing, though. I'm not that hot yet. [ It'll help take their minds off awkward things. Again. ]

[Rita doesn't think his body is anything to be ashamed of, anyway--a thought she banishes very, very quickly. Or tries to.]

Uh--yeah. Me too. We can swim later after we've danced. [She's all for dancing, she thinks.]

[stargathering]

[ Tyr doesn't want to think of Rita's figure, either. His girlfriend was here. ...And Rita is blushing--no, she is not cute. He looks off into the water again. ]

Unless you want to. It's fine if you do.

[blastiafreak]

[Does she want to? Rita's not really sure, but--they were having fun until a few moments ago. She wants to go back to that.]

I-it's fine, all right? Dancing now, swimming later.

[stargathering]

[ He should have know she'd get an answer like that. He just wants to go back to having fun with her, too. ]

Right, fine. We can dance together first. [ They might have talked through the beginning of the next song. ]

Yeah. That's right. [Oh, the music's already been going. They should probably start, then, but...Should she take his hands again?

--Ugh, she shouldn't be letting this affect her. In denial of everything, she snatches his hands almost angrily.]

[ It takes him by surprise, and he thinks of holding hers in the same way, but stops himself - maybe just to show she shouldn't be like that now.

With some awkwardness, he forces himself into step with her. ]

[Awkward, so awkward. Rita stubbornly holds onto his hands, although her steps are a lot less natural now.]

[stargathering]

[ Tyr can't make himself smile, either. This isn't the same.

Still, he gives her hands a small, hopefully encouraging squeeze as they move. ]

[It sort of helps, at least. Rita's determined to make them have fun again like before, but-

If only it was that easy. She still tries to hide how awkward she feels, and gets them to twirl again, but it's not as easy and comfortable.]

[ He thinks he should put his shirt back on. Of course there's nothing simple about this now. And it wouldn't be simply fixed by putting a suffocating shirt back on again.

He tugs her a little closer, though, as they dance. ]

[Rita would get angry if he tried to, anyway. It wouldn't be rational and she wouldn't know exactly why, but she'd be aggravated all the same.

She hadn't realized how tense she was until his tug makes her falter in her movements for the first time since they started dancing. But she doesn't move away, either.]

[ She's enjoying the view? Kyaaaa//// He wouldn't blame her, though. It's stupid, and he's sure he's right.

The fact she actually falters a little with that tug but still stays close tells him enough, though. He smiles at her and tries to get back into step. ]

[M-maybe//// But having him put it back on would mean admitting to the weirdness. So that's right!

She blushes a little--just out of embarrassment, right? There's no other reason. And matching his steps, she grumbles to break the silence.] I--I didn't really trip or anything...

[ O-oh Rita!//// Tyr isn't dense in either case; he knows that even if taking his shirt off might have been a bad idea, putting it back on would only make it worse.

It's kind of cute--that she has to defend herself, and nothing else. Because it's childish. Yes. ] I know. You're doing fine.

[blastiafreak]

[K-kya.//// At least they don't have to think about how the sun and dancing must be making him really hot. Probably.

It actually makes her feel a little more normal, and she loses some of the stiffness in her movements. Maybe even offers Tyr a little smile.] You're not doing half bad, either.

[stargathering]

[ Tyr isn't thinking too much about the sweat on his skin glistens slightly under the sun, making the bronze muscles of his arms and chest stand out, either. At least his gloves are still on so only he needs to feel his sweaty palms!

A small smile? Victory. Tyr smiles back and hopes he can get her to laugh again. ] I could do better, too.

[Rita is definitely not thinking about his muscles or how they feel or how they look or anything like that! Definitely not! Or...she's trying not to...

She isn't ready to laugh, but it's nice going back to their banter. That always feels normal. So she grins a little more.] You'll have to prove that.

[stargathering]

[ Tyr definitely isn't thinking about how he really should have expected her to be a good and graceful dancer. Nope... He only looks at her face. Or the top of her head, as the case my be.

Just joking around is good enough for him. It was nice to hear her laugh, though... ] But I don't want to lose you if I do.

[Not thinking about his chest is hard when it's practically right at eye level, but she's stubbornly looking up at his face. For the most part.

Maybe if they continue like this, because that gets Tyr a smirk.] Are you saying you think I can't keep up?

[stargathering]

[ At least Rita's chest is small enough that he doesn't worry about looking down her shirt. ...Some much as just looking down at all of her. ]

That's exactly what I'm saying. [ His voice is hardly serious, though. Without any warning, he lets go of her hands to hold her waist, picking her up from the ground as he twirls her. ]

[It's probably a good thing she wouldn't wear a skimpy swimsuit, at least. Or that Tyr wouldn't wear a speedo like Flynn.]

Ah-! [Now that she definitely wasn't expecting! And Tyr gets a slight yelp from her when she's suddenly lifted off the ground, but she sort of recovers from her surprise. Enough not to kick him.] H-hey, you could've warned me!

[stargathering]

[ Tyr in a speedo would be terrible for everyone involved because he has chicken legs. And Tyr still wouldn't be able to stop looking at Rita...

Tyr laughs at her, though. ] It wouldn't have been a surprise if I did, though.

[blastiafreak]

[It would be horribly awkward everywhere though Rita wouldn't normally mind the legs.

And this time, she does tsun back at him.] I never said you had to surprise me or anything!

[ Tyr wouldn't normally mind any of this if this wasn't so awkward. ]

I wanted to. Do you mind? [ Sorry, he's still in a good mood despite her tsuning. ]
