tampered | (no subject)

He grabs the phone and makes the order, along with some tea.

"If you want, you can answer it this time."

He doesn't want a repeat of earlier.

"I will then," she assures and goes back to trying to relax.

He nods and lays back, trying not to think of her question which still nags at the back of his mind.

"Hope the tea's good here."

"If the food's anything to go by then I reckon it ought to be good," she says before there's a knock at the door. Rose springs up before wrapping the sheet around her body and walking over the answer the door.

It reveals the same lady as before and as she gives Rose the cake, she tries to look over her shoulder.

"No, everything's fine. Thank you."

And with that she shoos her out and closes the door before turning over to him.

"People, yeah?"

"Everything alright?" he asks.

Something in the tone of Rose's voice tells him she's slightly annoyed. He wonders if it's the same maid who delivered.

She sets the tray down on the table beside him before hopping back into bed. The expression on her face just reads annoyed.

"Why wouldn't it be?" she gives him a sarcastic smile.

He decides to drop it. Definitely the same then. He pours them both some tea, hoping it'll smooth things out.

"There we are."

She picks up the cup and takes a sip.

"Pretty good." But she's still not smiling. At least not really.

He takes a sip and agrees. It is pretty good. He goes for the cake and grabs a slice. He picks some icing with his finger and traces it along her cheek.

She feels that and gives him a look.

"Oi!"

He smirks and licks it off her face.

"Better?"

She just laughs.

"A bit. Enjoying yourself?"

He nods and takes a bit of cake. It's pretty good.

"Ohhhhh, you should try this."

She reaches over and takes the bit of cake to try it. She finds it's really good.

"Blimey. Pretty good." she grins at him.

"Yeah, it is."

He takes another bite, and congratulates himself for how good everything's turned out.

Rose can't help but maintain her grin. All this just seems a bit dreamish although it is far from anything her mind can conjure up.

He takes another sip.

"What next then, eh?"

Her fingers inch along his sides in an attempt to tickle him.

"Getting ideas again?"

He's asking playfully, wondering if she's trying to entice him.

"Possibly," she says with a smirk though really she is trying to tickle him. "Is it working?" She bats her eyes at him.

"Depends. What are your ideas?"

He's still unsure of what she's trying to do, but since she's making no other move he guesses it's nothing major.

"Trying to find your ticklish spot," she continues on but it doesn't seem to be working and so she pouts at him.

"There's a trick to it."

He grins, knowing that'll only frustrate her a bit more. Welllll, she can't know all his weak spots can she?

"Don't suppose you'd like to share that?" She says with a small innocent grin as her fingers continue their way up and down his rib cage. This is harder than she thought.

"Naaaaaaaah. That's one you have to figure out for yourself."

Of course he could tell her, but where's the fun in that?
