tampered | (no subject)

"I can just picture it too, you know." She reaches down to pluck a chip from the plate and offer it over to him.

He takes the chip.

"That would be worthy of several photographs, wouldn't it?"

"Several hundred'" she says jokingly before eating a chip. "Mum would have been a sobbing mess."

The mention of the heinous Jackie Tyler makes him roll his eyes.

"She would have gotten lost on the way, I think."

"Maybe. We would have had to have given her a map." She contemplates this for a moment before just laughing. Because really it would be like her mum to do that.

"Welllllll, yeaaaaaaaaah...Probably."

Of course it would have been the wrong map. He'd make sure of that.

"Would probably have to give her directions via mobile," she says with a grin before going back to the food.

That would be fine as long as he was giving the directions. With luck, she would have ended up in Glasgow.

"Fortunately, I'm good with directions."

"No you're not. Not always," she reminds him able to think of a few times that he's gotten them lost and then claimed the TARDIS was at fault.

"I am too."

Yeah, he would make sure Jackie ended up on the other side of the country and then silence the mobile. He grins at the thought.

"What about when we were going to that concert with the Beatles and ended up at a dance hop?" She gives him a bemused look still wondering what he is going to say to that.

"That was not my fault."

Which is true. The TARDIS has her moments.

"All those times though?"

He gives her a look.

"It's not my fault the TARDIS can be a bit testy."

This causes Rose to roll her eyes.

"All those times though?" She highly doubts it.

"Oh sure, take her side why don't you?"

Typical, he thinks. Always finding flaws in things he does. Was she always like this?

"Can you imagine what she'd think of this though?" she asks attempting to change the subject as she looks over at the ring on her finger. Funny how it was the correct size and everything.

"Who? Your mum?"

He already knows, and that's why he would have gone to great lengths to keep her away.

"No, the TARDIS," she says giving him a bit of a grin.

"Ohhhhhh, welllllll,"

This time he's not so sure. The old girl locked him out when they got together on New Year's.

"I think she'd just have to deal with it."

Not that she knows he got locked out due to them getting together.

"Hopefully she'll accept it." Because she really has no clue what the ship might do.

"I'm sure she will."

He just has to straighten it out with the TARDIS. That shouldn't be too hard, right?

Rose can really only hope. She tries not to let her mind linger too much on the subject as she eyes the bottle.

"Where did you find it?"

He looks confused for a moment, wondering what she means.

"Find what?" he asks.

"The bottle," she points out with her left hand. "Didn't you say it was rare?"
